An electronic apparatus includes first and second power receiving portions that receive first and second powers respectively supplied through two power paths, first and second battery cells that are charged with the first or second power, a first charging path that couples the first power receiving portion to the first battery cell, a second charging path that couples the second power receiving portion to the second battery cell, a third charging path that couples the first charging path to second charging path, and a processor configured to control on-and-off switching of the third charging path in accordance with receiving states of the first and second powers.

Charging control of a battery pack of an electronic apparatus

An action support apparatus displays a destination specification screen for specifying a destination, and receives from the user a specification of a general destination. If a general destination is specified, then the apparatus determines a detailed destination, referencing a knowledge DB. If there is a plurality of detailed destinations with respect to the general destination, then any one of them is set to the user's destination. Next, the apparatus sets the current location as the starting point, and generates a planned route from the starting point to the destination based on a map DB and an internal clock. Furthermore, the apparatus reads a filtering rule from a filtering DB, and extracts as recommended information facility information of facilities suited to the user from a facility information DB. Depending on the filtering rule, it is also acceptable to use user information in a user DB in the extraction of the recommended information. Subsequently, the apparatus associates the extracted recommended information with the planned route, and outputs them.

Action support method and apparatus

Using a mobile terminal while moving, a user has a voice conversation with a security terminal provided by a security service provider. This conversation creates a situation in which it is possible to immediately send an alarm if an emergency occurs, thus repelling assaulters or abductors lurking near the user. The mobile terminal is provided with GPS or the like, and position information of the mobile terminal is sent to the security terminal. The security service provider takes advertisements from advertisers selling goods or services, and prepares conversation scenarios that are the content of the conversations for automatic response based on those advertisements. The security terminal firstly provides the user with a voice conversation partner proxy service based on the conversation scenarios and secondly detects emergencies by detecting emergency messages from the mobile terminal or detecting the interruption of the conversation. After that, the security service provider can restrict the danger to the user to a minimum by undertaking emergency measures such as dispatching someone to the location where the mobile terminal is located.
