A help guidance method utilizing an animated picture, used for an information processor including a memory for storing a help control program for controlling help guidance, animated picture help data, text help data and voice help data used for carrying out the help guidance, and a table for showing the correspondence relationship among the animated picture help data, the text help data and the voice help data. The method includes the steps of: activating, when a user inputs a help command for requiring the help guidance, the help control program to display fields, in which the help guidance is to be carried out, in the form of help menu; and reading out, when the user selects the field requiring the help guidance from the help menu, the animated picture help data corresponding to the selected contents, and at least one of the text help data and the voice help data, which correspond to the selected animated picture help data, from the memory means by referring to the table to output the animated picture help data and the at least one thereof.

In order to deliver an input signal of each operation cycle after a desired time delay, there are disposed data memory means for storing the input signal, counter means for appointing write addresses of the data memory means, and address memory means for appointing read addresses of the data memory means. The address memory means is divided into partial memory areas equal in number to time delay elements, whereupon while sampling the input signal at a predetermined sampling period and changing the count value of the counter means one by one for each of the desired time delay elements at each sampling point, the variations of the input signal in a sampling interval between the particular sampling point and the adjacent sampling point are successively written into the memory means. Further, while changing the contents of the partial memory areas corresponding to the desired time delay element to the number of the time delay elements in each sampling interval, the variations in a sampling interval preceding a predetermined sampling number to the particular sampling interval are successively read out from the memory means. The input signal of each operation cycle in the preceding sampling interval is presumed by an interpolation operation based on the variation and the sampling period, and the result is used as an output signal of the desired time delay element.

A figure displaying device operates to display a plurality of fundamental figures each defined by a preset number of vectors on a display device of the raster scanning type. The figure displaying device stores the start and end point coordinates of the respective vectors of the respective fundamental figures and the gradient data of the respective vectors of the fundamental figures, and determines whether the respective vectors are located on a horizontal scanning line or not for each fundamental figure prior to the scanning operation of the horizontal scanning line. If the vectors are located on the horizontal scanning line the gradient data corresponding to the vectors on the aforementioned horizontal scanning line is read out and added to the start point coordinates thereby to renew the start point coordinates. A line memory is provided having a capacity corresponding to the number of picture elements in one horizontal scanning line so that preset data can be stored therein at the address corresponding to the added results and a control circuit is provided for consecutively reading the data out of the address in the line memory, which corresponds to the position of the horizontal scanning line being scanned, thereby to effect the display in accordance with the read results.
