A sintered porous metal filter permitting passage of gases therethrough comprises a filter portion having specified pores for trapping dust as separated from the gas to be treated, and a support portion for supporting the filter portion, the support portion having pores greater than the pores of the filter portion to diminish the pressure loss of the gas to be treated, the filter portion comprising metal particles of small diameter, the support portion comprising metal particles having a greater diameter than the filter portion forming metal particles, the filter portion and the support portion being formed to provide an outer side and an inner side integral therewith by sintering the two kinds of metal particles by hot isostatic pressing. A catalyst reaction portion for rendering noxious components of the gas to be treated harmless is formed in the filter portion or the support portion, or as an independent catalyst layer.

Sintered metal filters

A sintered porous metal filter permitting passage of gases therethrough includes a filter portion having specified pores for trapping and separatin dust from the gas to be treated, and a support portion for supporting the filter portion. The support portion has pores greater than the pores of the filter portion to diminish the pressure loss of the gas to be treated. The filter portion includes metal particles of small diameter, and the support portion includes metal particles having a greater diameter than the filter portion forming metal particles. The filter portion and the support portion are formed by sintering the two kinds of metal particles by hot isostatic pressing to provide an outer side and an inner side integrally. A catalyst reaction portion is formed in the filter portion or the support portion, or as an independent catalyst layer to make noxious components of the gas harmless.

A vacuum heat insulator is provided which includes a vacuum heat-insulated space defined between a pair of spaced outer skin members, a portion of the space closer to one of the outer skin members being set as high-temperature side, with a portion closer to the other outer skin member being set as low-temperature side. A laminate is disposed at the high-temperature side of the vacuum heat-insulated space, and a board having an inorganic material is disposed at the low temperature side. The laminate includes inorganic sheet members and metallic foils with low heat emissivity, the sheet members and metallic foils being alternately laid in plural layers.

A steering control system for a self-propelled working vehicle having steerable front and rear wheels. The control system comprises sensors for detecting a directional or orientation error and a sideways error of the vehicle relative to a reference line or lines extending in a vehicle running direction, and a control unit for steering the vehicle in response to signals received from the sensors. The control unit is capable of steering the vehicle in a turn steering mode for turning the front and rear wheels to the same steering angle in opposite directions and a parallel steering mode for turning the front and rear wheels to the same steering angle in the same direction. When the directional error and the sideways error take place simultaneously, the control unit determines directions and angles for turning the front and rear wheels to correct the two errors simultaneously.

An automatic running work vehicle adapted to repeatedly work on the ground while automatically changing its running direction and provided with means for controlling the vehicle body so that the vehicle body will be automatically positioned, upon a change of direction after finishing one course, for the next course with its orientation and position in match with the boundary of the course.

Automatic running work vehicle

An automatic running work vehicle in which both front wheels and rear wheels can be steered and which is provided with a follower sensor for detecting the boundary between an unworked area and a worked area and an orientation sensor for detecting the running direction so as to run automatically along the boundary. Based on the result of detection of the boundary by the follower sensor and on the result of detection of the orientation of the vehicle body by the orientation sensor, the front and rear wheels are steered automatically to correct the running direction automatically.

An automatic running work vehicle adapted to automatically run straight along a predetermined boundary of a running area by being subjected to steering control based on the combination of parameters detected by a follower sensor for detecting the boundary and an orientation sensor for detecting the running direction.
