A current interrupting device of a sealed battery includes a conductive member that is electrically connected to an external terminal of a battery case; a collector terminal that is arranged inside the battery case; and a reversing plate that is interposed between the conductive member and the collector terminal, and that electrically cuts off the conductive member from the collector terminal by deforming in response to an increase in pressure inside the battery case. An inner peripheral surface of the conductive member is joined to an outer peripheral surface of the reversing plate. An upper surface of the reversing plate does not contact the conductive member regardless of an activation of the current interrupting device.

A sealed battery includes a battery case within which an electrode body is housed; a lid that joins to an open portion of the battery case; a conducting member that is inserted through the lid and that electrically connects the electrode body to an external terminal provided on the lid; and an insulating plate that is interposed between the lid and the conducting member, and that insulates the lid from the conducting member. A protruding portion is formed, in a position able to be visually recognized from outside while the insulating plate is in a state tightly fixed between the lid and the conducting member, on at least one of an abutting surface of the insulating plate that abuts against the lid, and an abutting surface of the insulating plate that abuts against the conducting member.

Sealed battery

The present disclosure provides a battery, which includes a case having through holes, electric terminals projecting outward from the case and fixed to the holes, and insulating members interposed between the case and the terminals. A flanged portion standing out from the case, located around the hole is formed, a reinforcing member is fitted to the outer periphery of the flanged portion that reinforces against the outward force applied to the flanged portion, and the terminal and the insulating member are inserted into the flanged portion, and then the flanged portion is press-fitted from the outside of the case for fixing the terminal to the hole. The battery may have a high sealing property at the fitted portion among the case and the terminal.

The first aspect of the present invention is a terminal unit which contains an electrode part disposed in a case, for connecting with an electrode body and a terminal part having a rod shape with a first end and a second end, the first end for fixing to the electrode part, and the second end extending outside of the case. In one embodiment of the first aspect of the invention, the electrode part includes an insert hole into which the terminal part is inserted, the terminal part comprises an insert portion having an insert portion having a larger diameter than that of the hole and formed at the first end and a tip portion having a smaller diameter than that of the hole and formed at the nearer side of the first end than the insert portion. And, the clinch portion is press fitted into the insert hole, thereby fixing the terminal part to the electrode part. According to the present invention, the varying of electric conductivity in the terminal unit is prevented.
