A method for storing a seedling, a nursery plant and a bulb for a long period under an ordinary temperature condition by immersing a seedling, a nursery plant and a bulb in a solution containing a growth inhibitor or an osmoregulator, sealing thus treated seedling, nursery plant and bulb in a suitable container and then preserving the sealed seedling, nursery plant and bulb at an ordinary temperature.

A culturing apparatus including a culturing tank for culturing cells, organs or tissue strips of a plant, internally therein, and a cutting device for cutting cultured plant bodies arranged within the culturing tank, wherein a push-out means for urging the plant bodies against the cutting device is further provided or the cutting means is made movable so as to be urged against the plant bodies.

Culturing apparatus

A method for promoting fusion of plant protoplasts comprising the steps of; (a) treating the plant protoplasts with a fusion agent, and then (b) incubating the resultant plant protoplasts in an incubation medium having an osmotic pressure lower than that required for maintaining the plant protoplasts in a stable form. This effectively promotes the fusion of the plant protoplasts at a higher fusion rate in a wider range of plants.
