Elongate bases () for guiding a movable end () of a conductor path (). Cross sections taken through the bases substantially normal to the elongation directions of the bases are substantially identical to one another and substantially constant along the elongation direction of the bases. Thus, the bases () can be obtained by cutting an elongated raw material to a specified length in conformity with a vehicle type, thereby enabling a cost reduction. Further, since the bases () are symmetrical with a moving path of the movable end () located therebetween, it is sufficient to prepare only one kind of elongated raw material. In this respect as well, costs can be reduced.

Device for guiding a conductor path for slide door

A power supply apparatus for a vehicle slide door, including a cable installed between a vehicle body and a slide door and a cable guide for guiding the cable. The cable guide includes a plurality of link members interconnected into a linear configuration. The cable guide includes a first section and a second section. The first section is capable of being bent in a predetermined direction from a generally linear condition. The second section is capable of being bent in an opposite direction opposite to the predetermined direction from a generally linear condition.

A pressure sensitive sensor is provided that includes a net braid member formed by knitting a plurality of insulating yarn strands, such as an aramid fiber, interposed between an elastic electroconductive tube and a central electrode member. The elastic electroconductive tube and the central electrode member are brought into electrical contact with each other through the gap portion of the mesh of the net braid member at a pressure point, and pressure is detected. The central electrode member is formed by winding an electroconductive metal wire in a coil on the outer peripheral surface of a central member formed by coating an elastic insulating material on a central reinforcing member formed of an aramid fiber. Thus, a pressure sensitive sensor which has a simple construction, can be produced easily and at low cost, is suitable for making a small sensor, and can appropriately function even if the sensor is warped or kinked at a sharp curvature.

An auxiliary machinery mounting structure of an engine which can reduce the entire length of the engine, enhance the rigidity of a cover seal surface to improve the sealing effect, and also enhance the mounting rigidity of an auxiliary machinery. The auxiliary machinery mounting structure includes a mount seat that is integrally formed on an end surface of a cylinder block extending vertically to a crank shaft of the engine to lie outward of and along a cover seal surface that is a surface engaging with a cover laid over the end surface, and the auxiliary machinery is mounted on the mount seat.

A plurality of reinforcing ribs 8 and 9 are formed on an end wall of a battery container 2 of a battery B, and a pair of notches 11 are defined in the reinforcing rib 9 at an upper end. A battery suspending jig J has a pair of hooks 14 formed on a base plate 12 formed of a metal plate material. An attaching/detaching portion 14.sub.1 of the hook 14 is passed through an attaching/detaching bore 11.sub.1 of the notch 11 and then moved upwards, whereby an engage portion 14.sub.2 of the hook 14 is brought into engagement into an engage bore 11.sub.2 of the notch 11, and a receiving portion 14.sub.3 of the hook 14 is urged against a lower surface of the reinforcing rib 9. Thus, the battery B can be suspended and moved by connecting the battery suspending jig J to a chain block or a winch through a wire.

The plug connection comprises an elastomeric shroud having a plug-receiving portion through which is connected a spark plug comprising an hexagonal handling nut. A metal shield, comprising a top cover portion and two side-shield portions, covers the elastomeric shroud. When mounted, the side-shield portions surround the plug-receiving portions and form joint seam zones, each having a bottom end portion and a top portion. The bottom end portion of one seam zone includes an opening and the bottom end portion of the other seam zone includes a corresponding tab. The side-shield portions further comprise flanges. When the plug connection is connected to the spark plug, the flanges fit onto the hexagonal handling nut and the opening and tab are loosely fitted, so that the joint seam zones can be spaced apart. Preferably, the top portion contains protrusions provided on the side of the side-shield portions and a corresponding recess provided on the side of the top shield, these protrusions and recess fit together when the shield is mounted.

A battery assembly has a temperature control mechanism for effecting cooling or heating unit batteries for operation in a desired temperature range. First heat-exchange planar members of respective heat-transfer plates are sandwiched between the unit batteries that are arranged in an array, and second heat-exchange planar members thereof are held against transverse narrow side walls of the unit batteries. The unit batteries and the heat-transfer plates are securely fastened together by holder plates. Heat produced when the unit batteries are in operation is transferred through the first and second heat-exchange planar members of the heat-transfer plates and dissipated into an appropriate cooling medium, such as atmospheric air or another cooling fluid, through a heat-exchange.

An apparatus for assembling workpieces in which an assembling work is performed includes a workpiece setting jig, a setting station including a workpiece setting apparatus for setting a first workpiece on the workpiece setting jig, an assembling station including an assembling unit for assembling a second workpiece with the first workpiece on the workpiece setting jig, a welding station including a welding unit for welding the first and the second workpieces together, a discharging station including a discharging unit for taking the welded workpieces out of the workpiece setting jig, a charging station provided in a position which faces the setting station as seen in the direction of sending and withdrawing the workpiece setting jig. The charging station, the assembling station, the welding station and the discharging station being arranged in a circular form. A mechanism is provided for circulating the workpiece setting jig among the charging station, the assembling station, the welding station and the discharging station in sequence. A mechanism is provided for reciprocating the workpiece setting jig between the setting station and the charging station. The method of assembling workpieces includes disposing the charging station in a position facing the setting station, and disposing the charging station, the assembling station, the welding station, and the discharging station in a circular form to a side of the setting station.

In an internal combustion engine comprising a valve operating device which is disposed in a cylinder head coupled to an upper surface of a cylinder block and which includes a valve operating cam shaft connected to a crank shaft rotatably carried in a lower engine body portion including the cylinder block, and valve operation characteristic changing means for changing, in accordance with a variation in hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic pressure chamber, the operation characteristics of an engine valve which is supported in the cylinder head for opening and closing, a lower oil supply system and an upper oil supply system are disposed independently of each other. The lower oil supply system is comprised of a first oil pump connected to individual oil consumption parts disposed in a lower engine body portion for supplying a first oil, and the upper oil supply system is comprised of a second oil pump connected to individual oil consumption parts included in the valve operating device as well as to the hydraulic pressure chamber for supplying a second oil. This ensures that the second oil pump can be disposed in proximity to the hydraulic pressure chamber, so that an oil having a characteristic suitable for the operation of the valve operation characteristic changing means can be supplied quickly, and the cycle of replacement of the oil in the upper oil supply system can be prolonged.
