A nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary cell comprising a positive electrode (), a negative electrode () and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a lithium salt is characterized by that the nonaqueous electrolyte contains a room temperature molten salt as a main component, a material wherein a working potential of the negative electrode () is nobler by above 1V than a potential of a metallic lithium is used for a negative active material of the negative electrode. This nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary cell has excellent safety and cell performance.

The purpose of this invention is to provide a life indicator which can detect an occurrence of growth and obtain various information based on it. A life indicator of this invention having at least a sensor portion, a sending circuit, a receiving circuit and a light emitting diode. The sensor portion is adapted to be applied with a pressure based on an elongation of a positive plate directly or indirectly, so as to detect the applied pressure as a change of electric parameter.

A quasi-resonant PWM inverter performs stable resonant operation utilizing a simple control system and a highly efficient inverter operation. A first condenser is connected between a connecting point between first and second main switches and to the first side of the first main switch. The two electrodes are so installed as to be electrically connected by passing water through a water passage communicating with an objective equipment, and the discharge life of the battery is set equal to the service life of the equipment.

A direct current power unit has main and secondary direct current power supplies, a serial circuit, and first and second parallel circuits. One terminal of the secondary direct current power is connected to one terminal of the main direct current power supply. The serial circuit consists of a choke coil and a first capacitor, of which each terminal is connected to each terminal of the main direct current power supply. The first parallel circuit consists of a first diode and a first switching element, of which each terminal is connected to each terminal of the first capacitor. The second parallel circuit consists of a second capacitor, a second diode, and a second switching element connected between the serial connected point of the choke coil and the first capacitor and the other terminal of the secondary direct current power supply. Each terminal of a third capacitor is connected to each terminal of the secondary direct current power supply. Direct current power is supplied to a load from each terminal of the first capacitor.
