An engine includes a cylinder head, an intake manifold, and a partition wall. The cylinder head includes an intake port communicating with a combustion chamber. The intake manifold is fixed to the cylinder head and includes an intake passage communicating with the intake port. The partition wall that separates at least part of the intake port into a first channel and a second channel. The partition wall includes a partition wall member extending from the intake port to the intake passage and fixed to an inner wall of the intake port and an inner wall of the intake passage.

A display device includes a first substrate, a coloring layer formed on the first substrate, a transparent insulating layer having a first refractive index formed on the coloring layer, a first transparent electrode having a higher second refractive index than the first refractive index formed on the transparent insulating layer, an organic layer having a light emitting layer formed on the first transparent electrode, and a second transparent electrode formed on the organic layer.

Display device

A display device includes a thin film transistor; a first organic insulating film covering the thin film transistor and containing a resin material; an inorganic insulating film on the first organic insulating film; a pixel electrode electrically connected with the thin film transistor; a second organic insulating film covering an end of the pixel electrode and exposing a top surface of the pixel electrode; and an organic layer provided on the top surface of the pixel electrode and including a light emitting layer. As seen in a plan view, the inorganic insulating film has an opening, overlapping the second organic insulating film, at a position not overlapping an opening provided in the first organic insulating film. The first and second organic insulating films face each other in the opening in the inorganic insulating film, with an oxide conductive film being between the first and second organic insulating films.

A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a substrate; an organic light-emitting diode provided for each pixel on the substrate; an insulating layer that is formed along a boundary of the pixel and has an opening portion in a light-emitting region of the pixel; a first refractive index layer; and a second refractive index layer. The first refractive index layer is disposed on the insulating layer and the organic light-emitting diode, is made of a material having a first refractive index, and has a first recessed portion overlapping with a formation region of the insulating layer in plan view. The second refractive index layer is disposed inside the first recessed portion and is made of a material having a second refractive index lower than the first refractive index.

Display device and method of manufacturing a display device

A display device includes an organic electroluminescence layer including a plurality of emission layers respectively emitting light of a plurality of colors, and a reflective layer configured to reflect the light emitted from the emission layers. A shortest optical path length between the emission layers and the reflective layer is longer than at least three times of a wavelength of blue light.

A display device includes a plurality of pixel electrodes; a bank having a plurality of openings respectively exposing a part of top surfaces of the plurality of pixel electrodes, a light emitting layer provided on the top surfaces of the plurality of pixel electrodes; and a common electrode covering the bank and the light emitting layer. Where an optical path of light emitted from any light emitting point in the light emitting layer and reflected by a corresponding pixel electrode, among the plurality of pixel electrodes, to return to the light emitting point is a first optical path, and an optical path of light emitted from the light emitting point and reflected by the corresponding pixel electrode to reach the bank is a second optical path, the second optical path has a length that is an integral multiple of a length of the first optical path.

A vehicle includes a radiator, a bypass passage, a first valve, a second valve, and a controller. Cooling water is circulated through the radiator independently of a cylinder block and a cylinder head of an engine. The radiator cools the cooling water. The cooling water is circulated through the bypass passage while bypassing the radiator. The first valve switches between an open state in which cooling water is circulated through the cylinder block and a closed state in which cooling water is not circulated through the cylinder block. The second valve receives cooling water circulated through the cylinder head and cooling water circulated through the cylinder block via the first valve. The second valve uses an intermediate opening to adjust a flow rate of cooling water circulated through the radiator and the bypass passage. The controller controls opening and closing of the first valve and the opening of the second valve.

Vehicle

To provide a display device including a pixel electrode formed on an insulating surface; a bank covering an end portion of the pixel electrode and having an opening formed therein in which the upper surface of the pixel electrode is exposed; an organic layer containing a light emitting layer and formed covering the opening; and an opposed electrode formed on the organic layer and the bank. The bank has a first layer formed on an end portion of the pixel electrode and the insulating surface, and a second layer formed on the first layer. The refractive index of the material forming the first layer is less than the refractive index of the material forming the second layer.

Provided is a display device including first to third pixels and first to fourth cap layers. The first cap layer is located over and overlaps with the first to third light-emitting elements and extends from the first pixel to the third pixel through the second pixel. The second and third cap layers are located over the first cap layer and respectively overlap with the second and third light-emitting elements. The fourth cap layer is located over the first to fourth cap layers. The first to third pixels are arranged in this order. The first to third light-emitting elements are configured so that an emission wavelength of the second light-emitting element is shorter than an emission wavelength of the third light-emitting element and longer than an emission wavelength of the first light-emitting element. A thickness of the third cap layer is larger than a thickness of the second cap layer.

Display element, display device, and manufacturing method of the display device

A display device has a transistor including a gate terminal, a first input-output terminal and a second input-output terminal, the gate terminal connected to a scanning signal line and the first input-output terminal connected to a video signal line, a photoconductive element including a first terminal and a second terminal, the first terminal connected to the second input-output terminal of the transistor and the second terminal connected to a first power line, and a light-emitting element including a third terminal and a fourth terminal, the third terminal connected to the second input-output terminal of the transistor and the fourth terminal connected to a second power line.

Display device and driving method for the same

A display device includes a display region having a plurality of pixels, each of the plurality of pixels including a pixel electrode formed on an insulating surface, the plurality of pixels being arranged in a matrix shape, a bank covering an end of the pixel electrode, an organic layer including a light emitting layer covering respective light emitting regions on the pixel electrodes, an opposite electrode on the organic layer and the bank, and a first inorganic insulating layer on the opposite electrode, wherein each of the opposite electrode and the first inorganic insulating layer has a discontinuous region between the two adjacent light emitting regions.

A display device includes: pixel electrodes corresponding to pixels; an insulating layer provided so as to overlie peripheral edge portions of the pixel electrodes; a light-emitting layer provided so as to be stacked on and in contact with each of the pixel electrodes; a first common electrode stacked on the light-emitting layer so as to be in contact therewith and provided so as to overlie the insulating layer; a light transmissive layer stacked on the first common electrode above the pixel electrodes, the light transmissive layer avoiding stacking thereof on the first common electrode above the insulating layer; and a second common electrode stacked on the light transmissive layer above the pixel electrodes and stacked on the first common electrode so as to be in contact therewith above the insulating layer.

A display device includes a plurality of pixels on a substrate including an insulating surface. Each of the plurality of pixels includes: a transistor above the insulating surface; a planarization film covering the transistor; a pixel electrode above the planarization film and electrically connected with the transistor; an insulating layer filled in a recess located around the pixel electrode between the pixels adjacent to each other; a light-emitting layer covering a surface of the pixel electrode and at least a part of a surface of the insulating layer; and a counter electrode above the light-emitting layer. A distance between a surface of the substrate and a face of the light-emitting layer in contact with the insulating layer is equal to or smaller than a distance between the surface of the substrate and a face of the light-emitting layer in contact with the pixel electrode.

A display device includes a substrate; a transistor provided on the substrate; a first insulating film provided on the substrate and the transistor; a second insulating film provided on the first insulating film; an individual pixel electrode provided on the second insulating film; a light emitting layer provided on the individual pixel electrode; a common electrode provided on the light emitting layer; and a contact hole running through the first insulating film and the second insulating film and connecting a source or a drain of the transistor with the pixel electrode. The second insulating film has at least one recessed portion reaching the first insulating film; and the individual pixel electrode is provided along a top surface of the second insulating film and the first recessed portion.

A display device includes a plurality of pixels each including a light emitting region; and a light blocking layer provided on a side of the plurality of pixels on which light is output. In each of the plurality pixels, the light blocking layer has a plurality of openings allowing light from the light emitting region to be output. In one embodiment, in the light blocking layer, the openings adjacent to each other may be located line-symmetrically. In one embodiment, in the light blocking layer, the openings adjacent to each other may be located point-symmetrically.
