A drive system includes: a first planetary gear unit, in which a carrier is connected to an internal combustion engine, a sun gear is connected to a first MG, and a ring gear is connected, via a first drive gear and a first driven gear, to a counter shaft; and a second planetary gear unit, in which a brake is provided to a sun gear, a carrier is connected to the internal combustion engine, and a ring gear is connected, via a second drive gear and a second driven gear, to the counter shaft. A gear ratio of the first drive gear and the first driven gear is larger than a gear ratio of the second drive gear and the second driven gear.

Drive system for hybrid vehicle

A drive system includes: a power split mechanism including a planetary gear unit, in which a ring gear is connected to an internal combustion engine, a sun gear is connected to a motor, and a carrier is connected to a counter shaft in a manner capable of transmitting power; a lock mechanism that can lock the sun gear; and a clutch mechanism that can engage the sun gear and the ring gear. The internal combustion engine, the power split mechanism, the motor, the lock mechanism, and the clutch mechanism are arranged on the same axis. The lock mechanism and the clutch mechanism are arranged on an opposite side of the internal combustion engine with the power split mechanism and the motor being interposed therebetween.

Here, the engagement surfaces of the dog teeth are inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the shaft line such that the hub performs relative rotation with respect to the sleeve in a process in which the sleeve is stroked in the shaft line direction. The ECU estimates the stroke volume of the sleeve on the basis of the rotation amount of the hub and the predetermined angle.

A hybrid drive device includes an input member connected to an engine; an output member connected to a wheel; a first rotating electrical machine; a second rotating electrical machine connected to the output member; and a differential gear device including at least four rotational elements. A power transmission chain belt wherein each of two mutually offset parallel chains includes connected sets of parallel links, and spaced-apart parallel load block members engage the inner side of the parallel chains. Each set of parallel links includes link plates each having a pair of gripping protrusions formed so as to extend from an inner-side end face facing the load block members. The protrusions engage a pair of engaging grooves formed on each load block member, to thereby hold the link plates. The grooves are open on the opposite end faces of the load block member, and are provided with stopper means for inhibiting relative movements of the link plates and the load block member.

A continuous belt of a continuously variable transmission for transmitting a driving torque from an input pulley to an output pulley includes a plurality of blocks, links and pins. Each block includes first and second side engagement surfaces. When the continuous belt spans between the input and output pulleys, at least two different engagement points are defined between the blocks and the pulley. Each link includes first and second end portions, an intermediate portion, first and second connecting holes, an outer projection and an inner projection. The first and second connecting holes are defined within the first and second end portions. The outer projection projects from the first and end portion toward a lateral direction of the continuous belt. The inner projection projects from the first end portion in a direction opposite the direction of the outer projection. Each link has a pitch line of the link which passes through center points of the first and second connecting holes. A center line of each link passes equidistant between the outer and the inner projections. The pitch line is parallel to and spaced apart from the center line. The links are inserted into the blocks such that the outer projection of the links are positioned toward the inside of the continuous belt in one of at least two engagement points between the blocks and the pulley and the inner projection of the links are positioned toward the inside of the continuous belt in the other of at least two engagement points.

A chain belt comprises a plurality of V-shape blocks and connecting means. The V-shape block includes a pair of lateral side surfaces, a first contacting surface and a second contacting surface. An opening is defined within the first and second contacting surfaces of the V-shape block. The connecting means connects the plurality of V-shape blocks to each other, and forms a continuous loop. The connecting means includes a plurality of links and a plurality of pins. The link is inserted in the opening of the V-shape block. The link includes a pair of ends and an intermediate portion. The intermediate portion of the link is positioned in the opening of the V-shape block. The ends of the link are located on opposite sides of the V-shape block. An aperture is defined within each of the ends of the link. An outer projection extends outwardly from at least one of the ends of the link toward the outside of the continuous loop. The outer projection of the link includes a first contacting edge and a second contacting edge. The first contacting edge of the outer projection of the link is in contact with the first contacting surface of the V-shape block and the second contacting edge of the outer projection of the link is selectively in contact with the second contacting surface of an adjacent V-shape block. The pin is inserted into the apertures of the links.

An endless belt for the power transmission, wherein a plurality of block bodies each comprising a body member formed of a highly rigid material and provided at opposite side portions thereof with inclined surfaces being in frictional engagement with pulleys and a clamp member formed separately of said body member are arranged in a row and adjacent to one another on a belt-shaped endless carrier formed of fabric in such a manner that the endless carrier is clamped between the body members and the clamp members, the endless belt being of such an arrangement that the belt-shaped endless carrier formed of fabric is woven by warps disposed in the longitudinal direction and wefts disposed in the widthwise direction, with the wefts restraining the warps.

A V-belt assembly trained over V-belt wheels which includes a flexible endless belt, a plurality of rigid suspension members secured fixedly to the endless belt perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the endless belt and approximately U-shaped rigid transmission pieces pivotably supported by pivotal projections projecting sidewise from both sides of the respective suspension members and capable of engaging V-shaped grooves in the V-belt wheels. The central axis of the pivotal projections passes through the approximately central portion of the thickness of the endless belt. In the ends of both legs of the U-shaped transmission piece are formed grooves for receiving the pivotal projection of the suspension member, and lids for covering respectively these grooves are secured fixedly to the ends of the legs. Further, the transmission pieces except for at least one piece are formed with a square notch opening to the end face of both legs of 'U' configuration and the surface opposed to the adjacent transmission piece and an arcuate surface-like groove formed on a portion of one of angled sides of this notch reaching the end face of the leg to contact the other side, the arcuate surface-like grooves of these transmission pieces being fitted onto the respective pivotal projections of the suspension members.
