A suspension support device provided movably on the upper surface of a building for suspending, by means of ropes, an outer wall working machine having fitting and moving members which can be fittedly engaged in a pair of guide grooves formed vertically on an outer wall surface of the building, and lowering and lifting the outer wall working machine along the guide grooves includes a main body comprising a movable base capable of moving on the upper surface of the building, a rotary body provided on the movable base rotatably about a vertical first axis and a winding device for taking up and feeding out the ropes, a pivotable arm supported on the main body pivotably about a vertical second axis, and a holding unit provided on the foremost end portion of the pivotable arm rotatably about a vertical third axis and including a pair of holding guide members provided at an interval equal to an interval of the pair of guide grooves and capable of receiving the fitting and moving members.

Suspension support device for an outer wall working machine

A suspension support device is provided movably on the upper surface of a building for suspending, by means of ropes, an outer wall working machine having fitting and moving members which can be fittedly engaged in a pair of guide grooves formed vertically on an outer wall surface of the building, and lowering and lifting the outer wall working machine along the guide grooves. The device includes a main body, an arm structure connected to the main body, a holding unit connected to the arm structure in a manner to be movable forwardly and rearwardly, laterally and pivotably about a vertical axis and including a pair of holding guides provided at an interval equal to an interval of the pair of guide grooves and being capable of receiving the fitting and moving members, an arm structure drive unit for driving the arm structure to move the holding unit, sensors for detecting the upper edge of the building, and a drive control system for controlling driving of the arm structure drive unit in response to detection information supplied by the sensors. The drive control system controls driving of the arm structure in response to detection information supplied by the sensors to move the holding unit to a position at which the holding guides align with the guide grooves.

An outer wall cleaning robot includes an arm pivotable about a first rotation axis and a rotational body supported by the arm for pivotal movement about a second rotation axis. The rotational body can be driven independently of a pivotal movement of the arm. To the rotational body are attached respective mounting mechanisms for a wiping squeegee and a receiving squeegee.

A robot for a work on a wall surface comprises a main module, which is constructed of, for example, a moving scaffold, hung by ropes and being capable of moving vertically and horizontally to a desired position on a wall surface, an arm module mounted on the main module and being movable with one or more degrees of freedom with respect to the wall surface, and a wrist module mounted on the foremost end portion of the arm module, having one or more degrees of freedom necessary for the work and including an automatic tool changer for detachably mounting a tool necessary for the work on the wrist module. In one aspect of the invention, fixing devices are provided on both sides of the main module and an exchangeable fixing tool is also detachably mounted on the automatic tool changer for stabilizing the main module during work and moving from one place to another.
