The present invention is to provide a catalyst for removing nitrogen oxides which is capable of keeping sufficient denitrification performance, i.e., a high removal rate of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas having a high NOcontent especially under conditions where the ratio of NO/NO in exhaust gas is 1 or higher, a catalyst molded product therefor, and an exhaust gas treating method. The catalyst is designed for removing nitrogen oxides, which is used to denitrify exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides having a high NOcontent, which comprises: at least one kind of oxide selected from the group consisting of copper oxides, chromium oxides, and iron oxides as a component for reducing NOto NO; and which further comprises: at least one kind of titanium oxide; at least one kind of tungsten oxide; and at least one kind of vanadium oxide as components for reducing NO to N.

Catalyst for removing nitrogen oxides

The present invention provides a system for removing mercury in exhaust gas, in which mercury is removed from exhaust gas of a boiler, characterized in that between a denitrification apparatus and a wet type desulfurization apparatus, an NHdecomposition catalyst and a mercury oxidation catalyst are provided, and mercury having been oxidized into mercury chloride is removed by the wet type desulfurization apparatus. Also, it provides a method for removing mercury in exhaust gas, characterized in that the mercury removing method includes an NHdecomposition process and a mercury oxidation process, which are provided between the denitrification process and a wet desulfurization process, and mercury having been oxidized into mercury chloride is removed in the wet desulfurization process.

Method for removing mercury in exhaust gas

A gas supplying system for fuel cell includes a reformer generating a reformed gas by reforming a mixed raw material including a fuel and a first water, a piping network distributing the reformed gas to fuel cell systems each of which is installed in different rooms or buildings, a drain recovery unit recovering a water condensed from the reformed gas in the piping network. The piping network has a circulating route. By the circulation route, the reformed gas does not stay in the piping network so that the water condensation in the piping is suppressed. The water in the piping is removed by the drain recovery unit. According to this configuration, the clogging and corrosion of the piping caused by the condensed water is avoided.

A fuel cell power generation system, equipped with a fuel reforming device and a fuel cell body, includes valves, pipelines, a condenser, and a pump for feeding a burner exhaust gas (raw gas) discharged from a heating burner of the fuel reforming device into the fuel reforming device, and an inert gas formation device including an oxidizable and reducible oxygen adsorbent, which is disposed in the pipelines, and adsorbs oxygen in the burner exhaust gas to remove oxygen from the burner exhaust gas and form an inert gas. The fuel cell power generation system can reliably remove residual matter, without leaving it within the fuel reforming device, in a simple manner at a low cost and with a compact configuration.

Fuel cell power generation system and method for operating the same

Provided are a flue gas denitration catalyst having high denitration activity and capable of suppressing a side reaction, that is, oxidation of SO; and a preparation process of the catalyst. The flue gas denitration catalyst comprises TiO, WOand VO. In the surface layer of the catalyst within 200 &#x3bc;m from the surface thereof, VOis supported on a carrier containing TiOand WO. The supported amounts of VOrange from 0.4 to 5 wt. % based on the weight of the surface layer and range from 0.1 to 0.9 wt. % based on the total weight of the catalyst. The VOthus supported has a crystallite size of less than 10 nm as measured by X-ray diffraction. The catalyst can be available by preparing a mixture containing TiOand WOand having VOsupported on the surface of an extruded product of the prepared mixture by a vapor phase method. The catalyst can be also available by having VOsupported on a powder of the prepared mixture by a vapor phase method and having the resulting powder supported on the surface of a formed product.

An object of the present invention is to provide a methanol reforming catalyst, which promotes both the steam reforming reaction and the partial oxidation reaction simultaneously so as to achieve a high methanol conversion rate and suppress the carbon monoxide formation. Selective removing method of carbon monoxide and hydrogen refining method

The present invention provides a method of denitrating exhaust gas, which can control the NOx removal efficiency of exhaust gas at 90% or higher while suppressing the release of unreacted ammonia to 0.1 ppm or less. The method carries out denitration of exhaust gas for removing nitrogen oxides with catalytic reduction by introducing a nitrogen-oxide-containing gas into a catalyst-filled reaction chamber and adding ammonia as reducing agent in an excessive amount to the same chamber. The method comprises the steps of: introducing exhaust gas and ammonia into a first denitrating catalyst layer disposed on the most upstream side in the gas stream to remove nitrogen oxides; supplying the gas into a first ammonia decomposing catalyst layer disposed on the downstream side of the first denitrating catalyst layer to control the ammonia content to be suitable for the subsequent denitrating process, the first ammonia decomposing catalyst layer having ability to oxidatively decompose unreacted ammonia into nitrogen and nitrogen oxides; then supplying the gas into a second denitrating catalyst layer disposed on the downstream side of the first ammonia decomposing catalyst layer; thereafter supplying the gas into a second ammonia decomposing catalyst layer disposed on the most downstream side to remove the residual ammonia, the second ammonia decomposing catalyst layer being provided with a catalyst which can oxidatively decompose the residual ammonia into nitrogen and nitrogen oxides or a catalyst which can oxidatively decompose the residual ammonia into nitrogen oxides.
