A process for producing interior vehicular trim, comprising covering the surfaces of a substrate to which a nap-raised ornamental member has been applied, and removing the synthetic resin surface material at the part thereof covering the nap-raised ornamental member along a weld line. The synthetic resin surface material is welded and melt-cut on the peripheral edge of the ornamental member by carrying out the welding while the synthetic resin surface material is lifted up by force from the surface of the nap-raised ornamental member over the part thereof covering the ornamental member. An apparatus for producing interior vehicular trim, comprises an upper platen disposed to oppose matchably to a lower platen for supporting the substrate to which the nap-raised ornamental member has been partly applied, to effect welding of the synthetic resin surface material which was applied over the surface of the substrate, the welding being carried out along the peripheral edge of the ornamental member. The portion of the synthetic resin surface material covering the nap-raised ornamental member is removed by melt-cutting it along the welded line. A lift-up arrangement provided for lifting up the synthetic resin surface material at the part thereof covering the nap-raised ornamental member from the surface of the nap-raised ornamental member at least during the welding and melt-cutting steps.

Apparatus for producing interior vehicular trim

A process for producing interior vehicular trim, comprising covering the surface of a substrate to which a nap-raised ornamental member, and removing the synthetic resin surface material at the part thereof covering the nap-raised ornamental member and along the weld line. The synthetic resin surface material is welded and melt-cut on the peripheral edge of the ornamental member by carrying out the welding while the synthetic resin surface material is lifted up by force from the surface of the nap-raised ornamental member over the part thereof covering the ornmental member. An apparatus for producing interior vehicular trim, comprises an upper platen disposed to oppose matchably to a lower platen for supporting the substrate to which the nap-raised ornamental member has been partly applied, to effect welding of the synthetic resin surface material which was applied over the surface of the substrate, the welding being carried out along the peripheral edge of the ornamental member. Process for producing interior vehicular trim

A vehicle body floor construction of a motor vehicle, wherein a tunnel upwardly projecting from the surface of a floor panel, downwardly opening and disposed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is formed at the central portion in the widthwise direction of the floor panel, a fuel tank is disposed in the tunnel, and a protector is disposed in a manner to block the bottom opening of the tunnel at least within a range of the fuel tank and connected to the floor panel at opposite sides of the opening.

Vehicle body floor construction of motor vehicles

An automatic seatbelt system which has a flexible tape extending continuously along a vehicle body form a roof side portion through a center pillar to a door so as to move a shoulder webbing connected to the roof side portion and a lab webbing connected to the door at the same time by a single driving sprocket wheel in response to an occupant entering or leaving a vehicle. The tape has a plurality of openings along the longitudinal direction thereof and the sprocket wheel is meshed with the tape by the openings. A shoulder guide rail is provided along the roof side portion of the vehicle body, within which a shoulder guide member guiding the shoulder webbing and connected to the trape is slidably received. A lap guide rail is provided along the door, within which a lap guide member guiding the lap webbing and connected to the tape is slidably received. When the sprocket wheel rotates, both shoulder and lap seatbelt webbings are simultaneously moved through the tape toward either the front side of the vehicle to provide an enough space for the occupant to enter the vehicle, or the rear side of the vehicle to place the webbings over the occupant at a seat.

Automatic seatbelt system

An automatic seatbelt system in which a pair of sprocket wheels are driven by a single driving motor to move both shoulder and lap webbings in response to an occupant entering or leaving a vehicle. A flexible shoulder tape is connected to the shoulder webbing through a guide member slidable along a roof side of the vehicle, and extends along a vehicle body to mesh with one of the sprocket wheel. A flexible lap tape is connected to the lap webbing through a guide member slidable along an inner surface of a vehicle door, and extends along the vehicle door and body to mesh with the other of the sprocket wheel. When the sprocket wheels rotate, both shoulder and lap seatbelt webbings are simultaneously moved through the tapes toward either the front side of the vehicle to provide an enough space for the occupant to enter the vehicle, or the rear side of the vehicle to place the webbings over the occupant at a seat.

The present invention relates to an automatically fastening seatbelt system wherein webbings for restraining an occupant are automatically fastened about the occupant upon his entering the vehicle, to thereby improve the safety of the occupant. This seatbelt system is of an arrangement that, when the occupant enters or leaves the vehicle, an webbing is positioned forward in looking from the vehicle to prevent the webbing to slide on the lap of the occupant and the like, so that the actions of the occupant entering or leaving the vehicle can be facilitated. This seatbelt system can drive a guide arm for moving the intermediate portion of the webbing and a sprocket wheel for moving an anchor of the webbing by use of a single motor.

Automatically fastening seatbelt system

An automatic seatbelt system which has a flexible tape extending continuously along a vehicle body form a roof side portion through a center pillar to a door so as to move a shoulder webbing connected to the roof side portion and a lap webbing connected to the door at the same time by a single driving sprocket wheel in response to an occupant entering or leaving a vehicle. The tape has a plurality of openings along the longitudinal direction thereof and the sprocket wheel is meshed with the tape by the openings. The tape extends continuously between the vehicle body and vehicle door and has a stepped portion substantially extending in a vertical direction, for example, a direction which is aligned with the rotation center of door hinges so as to twist itself around the longitudinal center thereof during opening or closing the door. When the sprocket wheel rotates, both shoulder and lap seatbelt webbings are simultaneously moved through the tape toward either the front side of the vehicle to provide an enough space for the occupant to enter the vehicle, or the rear side of the vehicle to place the webbings over the occupant at a seat.

A rotatable member rotatable by the movement of one of a lap webbing and a shoulder webbing and another rotatable member for moving an engageable portion of the other webbing are provided on the side of a vehicle body and on the side of a door, whereby these rotatable members are engaged with or disengaged from each other in accordance with the closing or opening of the door, so that one of the rotatable members being in contact with each other can impart rotation. Only one driving source can be provided for moving the webbings.

Seatbelt system

When leaving a vehicle, an occupant turns forwardly in the vehicle a guide lever, through which extends a webbing, one end of which is engaged with a vehicle door and the other end of which is wound up into a retractor provided at the substantially central portion of the vehicle, to thereby enlarge a space formed between the webbing and a seat. This release lever is locked in a condition of being turned forwardly in the vehicle. However, the release lever is unlocked after the occupant enters the vehicle and before the vehicle enters the normal running condition, thereby enabling to bring the occupant into a suitable seatbelt fastened condition.

An oil pressure control means for operating an automatic transmission for automobiles in a manner to establish various speed shift stages in accordance with the balance of the throttle pressure and the governor pressure, including a combination of a thermo-sensitive control means operable in response to the engine temperature and an oil passage change-over means, said combination being adapted to supply the line pressure in lieu of the throttle pressure to a speed shift valve which establishes the highest speed stage when the engine is not yet warmed up thereby positively shifting the speed shift valve to the lower speed shift position by over-balancing the governor pressure by the line pressure.
