A wristband with an internal antenna for a wristwatch-receiver has first and second band portions each adapted for coupling at first ends thereof to a receiver housing and an adjustable clasp for coupling opposed, second ends thereof to one another to encircle a wearer's wrist. The band portions include conductive metal strips within an insulative covering and mechanically and electrically coupled at one end to the receiver housing. The clasp is adjustably positioned on one band portion and includes a clampable/releasable conductive protrusion for electrically contacting segments of the metal strip exposed through openings in a portion of the insulative covering to form a continuous conductive loop within the wristband. The inner side of the band has a grid pattern of transverse and longitudinal ridges.

Wristwatch band with radio antenna

A clasp for a pair of wristbands on a digital watch having a pager with a radio frequency receiver such that the wristbands comprise an antenna that has its circuit completed and closed into a loop antenna when a user snaps the wristbands together with the clasp. The clasp has a catch shaft welded or soldered to a clasp body such that electrical contact between the antenna in the wristbands is thereby improved.

A waterproof watch case construction depends on gaskets alone for waterproofing and is free of cement. The construction is such that a broken crystal can be readily replaced, and the watch case itself can be of any shape, including square, ovoid and hexagonal, as well as circular. The watch crystal is located positively by means of a bezel and a ring which compress a gasket both axially and radially against the watch crystal.
