A structure of revolving seat including a revolving frame and a pedestal fixed at the side of a floor of vehicle. An anchor unit is provided between the revolving frame and pedestal to prevent breakage of the revolving seat and its associated revolving mechanism. The anchor unit comprises a first anchor element of generally &ldquo;J&rdquo; shape including a hole and a projection and a second anchor element of generally &ldquo;inverted J&rdquo; shape including a hole and an a projection. When a great load is applied to the revolving seat, the projection of first anchor element is quickly brought to engagement in the hole of second anchor element, while simultaneously, the projection of second element is brought to engagement in the hole of first anchor element. Thus, the great load is immediately transmitted and escaped through the mutually engaged first and second anchor elements to the floor of vehicle.

Structure of revolving seat

A structure of revolving seat including a revolving frame member and a pedestal fixed at the side of a floor of vehicle. A latch unit is provided between the revolving frame member and pedestal to prevent breakage of the revolving seat and its associated revolving mechanism. The latch unit comprises: a first latch element including a protrudent portion and an engagement hole; and a second latch element including a latch pawl portion. The latch pawl portion of the second latch element is latchingly engaged in the engagement hole of the first latch element, thereby reinforcing the revolving frame member and allowing a great load applied to the revolving seat to be transmitted and escaped through the latch unit to the floor of vehicle.

A longitudinal locking mechanism in which a male lock member may be adjustably projected from a female lock member in the longitudinal direction thereof. The female lock member has a bellmouthed split end portion warped outwardly and radially relative to the central axis thereof. Such bellmouthed split end portion may be elastically closed by a slide ring for threaded engagement with the male lock member, so that a desired projection amount of the male lock member may be adjusted for locking purposes in a vehicle seat. The slide ring is biased in a direction to close the bellmouthed split end portion of female lock member, and may be drawn by an operation lever, via an actuation element, in a direction away from that bellmouthed split end portion so as to release the threaded enagement between the male and female lock members.

Longitudinal locking mechanism for vehicle seat

An operation mechanism of a lifter for an automotive seat, including a drive mechanism, a drive shaft operatively connected with the drive mechanism, a gear fixed on the drive shaft, a pair of first and second latch pawls engageable with the gear, and a switch-over cam for selectively disengaging one of the two latch pawls from the gear, with the other of them remaining in engagement with the gear, which forms a ratchet structure. Such actuation of the switch-over cam is effected by drawing out or retracting the handle of lever provided with the mechanism. Thus, the rotational direction of the gear is set by drawing out or retracting the handle, which causes raising or lowering of the seat through the drive mechanism.

Operation mechanism of lifter for automotive seat

A locking device for a slide rail in a vehicle seat, and particularly for a pair of slide rails which each have an upper rail and a lower rail, said upper rail being formed by two half rail members. The locking device in the present invention includes a pair of stoppers which are slidably provided within the two half rail members respectively of the two upper rails such as to be vertically movable therein, a plurality of holes formed in the lower rails, into which holes the stopper is to be engaged, and a lever rod which is operatively connected with the stopper. Single operation of the lever rod causes engagement and disengagement of the stoppers into and from the holes for locking and unlocking of the slide rails at one time.

Locking device for slide rail in vehicle seat

A method for assembling a framework of a vehicle seat, which is directed to assembling a non height adjustable framework with no height adjuster, from a height adjustable framework having the height adjuster, using the components of the latter wherein a bracket is provided on a slide adjuster and the height adjuster is interposed between a seat frame and the bracket. The method involves the steps of untilizing all of the components of the height adjustable frame, except for the height adjuster, forming an inwardly recessed area in the bracket, and welding the inwardly recessed area to the seat frame, to thereby assemble a non height adjustable framework having non such height adjuster and thus permit using in common the components of those two different frameworks.

Method for assembling a framework of vehicle seat

An automotive seat with a reclining device, in which a pair of the reclining devices are each provided on both lateral sides of said seat, each of the reclining devices being equipped with a locking mechanism, and a connecting means is extended between the two locking mechanisms. A protector is provided at the rear end of a seat cushion of the seat in order to thereby prevent the connecting means from being contacted with a foot of a rear-seat occupant.

An automotive seat with a walk-in device, in which a rotatable lever plate of the walk-in device and a link member are arranged at one of a pair of slide rails which are provided under the seat, and a connecting wire of the walk-in device is extended between the rotatable lever plate and link member. Thus, all required elements of the walk-in device are disposed along such one of two slide rails, and as such, the connecting wire is prevented from contact with the bottom of the seat and can be attached directly to the walk-in device without need to extend it transversely of the seat.

A height adjusting device for an automotive seat which is actuated by rotation of a drive rod through a gear and link mechanism. The seating height adjustment is locked and unlocked by means of a stopper and lock gear mechanism. A lock releasing means is provided in the stopper and lock gear mechanism such that raising and lowering of an operation lever causes the disengagement of the stopper from the lock gear though the lock releasing means to permit a desired higher or lower seating height adjustment, without any other special operations. The lock releasing means comprises a wire member and release plate.

Height adjusting device for automotive seat

A base bracket is fixed to a driven shaft and a fixed gear, a lock gear rotatably supported by the base bracket and engageable with the fixed gear, a guide bracket rotatably supported by the base bracket, a handle slidably supported by the base bracket, a member for coupling the guide bracket to the lock gear and a member fixed to the handle and for rotating the guide bracket when the handle is slid relative to the base bracket, wherein the handle is slidably extended most outwardly from the base bracket, the guide bracket is rotated by the rotating member relative to the base bracket and the lock gear is also rotated through the coupling member so that the engagement between the lock gear and the fixed gear is released whereby the base bracket and hence the shaft can be rotatable by the handle.

Rotation adjusting apparatus

An adjustment/engagement device applicable to a thigh support device, a head-rest height adjustment device and the like in a vehicle seat is disclosed. In this adjustment/engagement device, a stopper bracket having a plurality of engagement grooves engageable in only one direction and provided at their both ends with engagement pieces is provided in one of a fixed-side member and a movable-side member in a movable adjustment portion of the vehicle seat, while a lock bracket engageable into the front-end-side engagement groove of the stopper bracket and movable in a separating direction after abutment against the front-end-side engagement piece of the stopper bracket as well as a lock-off bracket rotatable when abutted against the rear-end-side engagement piece of the stopper bracket are provided in the other, whereby the position of the movable-side member can be adjusted by directly operating the movable-side member itself.

Adjustment/engagement device in a vehicle seat

A seat support for a vehicle seat is disclosed which comprises a seat frame, two connection members respectively mounted to the two side members of the seat frame and a support member formed of a cloth. In this seat support, the cloth support member is extended between and mounted to the two side frame members of the seat frame by means of the two connection members. The connection members are fixed to the two frame members respectively in such a manner that the support member can be extended in a tensioned manner.
