To provide a process for producing a flexible polyurethane foam having a higher biomass degree than a conventional flexible polyurethane foam and excellent in foam physical properties and its appearance. A polymer-dispersed polyol obtained by polymerizing a vinyl monomer in the presence of the following polyol (a1) derived from a natural fat/oil and/or the following polyoxyalkylene polyol (a2) is used: Polyol (a1) derived from a natural fat/oil: a polyol derived from a natural fat/oil, which is obtained by providing a natural fat/oil with hydroxy groups by chemical reaction, and which has a hydroxy value of from 20 to 250 mgKOH/g and a molecular weight distribution of at least 1.2; Polyoxyalkylene polyol (a2): a polyoxyalkylene polyol which is produced by ring-opening polymerization of an alkylene oxide (c) with the polyol (a1) derived from a natural fat/oil in the presence of at least one polymerization catalyst (b) selected from the group consisting of a coordination anionic polymerization catalyst and a cationic polymerization catalyst.

Polymer-dispersed polyol and process for producing flexible polyurethane foam

A polyether polyol composition comprising: a polyether polyol, a phosphoric acid compound selected from the group consisting of at least one of orthophosphoric acid, polyphosphoric acid, polymetaphosphoric acid, and partial esters thereof in an amount raning from 0.5 to 100 ppm based on the polyether polyol metals derived from a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst in an amount ranging from 1 to 30 ppm based on the polyether polyol; a method for producing this polyether polyol composition; and methods of making polyurethane or isocyanate group-terminated prepolymers.

Polyether polyol composition and use thereof

A polyether is synthesized by ring opening polymerization of an alkylene oxide with an initiator having at least one hydroxyl group, in the presence of a double metal cyanide complex catalyst, then a powder of an inorganic adsorbent containing at least 50 vol % of fine particles having a particle size of at most 26 &#x3bc;m and further containing at least 90 vol % of fine particles having a particle size of at most 44 &#x3bc;m, is added to the crude polyether, and a metal derived from the above double metal cyanide complex catalyst is adsorbed on the powder, followed by separating the powder from the crude polyether.

Process for purifying polyether

To provide a process for producing a polyester ether poly- or mono-ol having a narrow molecular weight distribution, which is obtained by copolymerizing an initiator having hydroxyl groups with a cyclic ester compound and an alkylene oxide. It is possible to produce a polyester ether poly- or mono-ol having a molecular distribution (Mw/Mn) of from 1.02 to 1.4 by copolymerizing a cyclic ester compound which carbon number is from 3 to 9 and an alkylene oxide which carbon number is from 2 to 20 with an initiator having from 1 to 12 hydroxyl groups and having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of from 18 to 20,000 in the presence of a double-metal cyanide complex catalyst is having tert-butyl alcohol as at least a part of an organic ligand.

Process for producing polyester ether poly- or mono-ol

A polyether polyol composition, the reactivity of which with a polyisocyanate can be controlled, to thereby obtain an isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer having excellent storage stability. A polyether polyol composition comprising a polyether polyol obtained by a ring-opening polymerization of an alkylene oxide in the presence of a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst, and a phosphoric acid compound comprising a phosphoric acid selected from orthophosphoric acid, polyphosphoric acid and polymetaphosphoric acid, and/ or a partial ester of such a phosphoric acid, wherein the polyether polyol composition contains metals derived from the composite metal cyanide complex catalyst in an amount of from 1 to 30 ppm based on the polyether polyol, and the above phosphoric acid compound in an amount of from 0.5 to 100 ppm based on the polyether polyol.

Provided is a double metal cyanide complex catalyst with a high activity which is readily produced on an industrial scale. The double metal cyanide complex catalyst is of a fine particle form and contains t-butyl alcohol or, t-butyl alcohol and another organic compound as an organic ligand. The catalyst of the fine particle form has a volume-average particle size in a range of from 3 to 20 &#x3bc;m, based on measurement by a light scattering method for measuring fine particles having particle sizes of at least 0.15 &#x3bc;m. A particle content of the catalyst in a particle size range of at least 0.15 &#x3bc;m and at most 1 &#x3bc;m is less than 5% by volume, and a particle content of the catalyst over a particles size of 1 &#x3bc;m is in a range of more than 95% and at most 100% by volume.

Double metal cyanide complex catalyst, its production process and its utilization

A method for precisely producing a polyether having a relatively high molecular weight by means of a double metal cyanide complex catalyst is provided. A method for continuously producing a polyether, which comprises ring opening addition polymerization of an alkylene oxide in the presence of a double metal cyanide complex catalyst, wherein substantially no vapor phase part is present in a reactor.

Method for continuously producing a polyether

A process for producing a double metal cyanide complex catalyst for ring opening polymerization of alkylene oxide, which comprises subjecting a substantially crystalline double metal cyanide compound to a contact treatment by heating at from 45 to 125&deg; C. with an aqueous solution containing an organic ligand and a metal salt, and then separating the resulting solid from the obtained slurry.
