A waste heat collecting system for an internal combustion engine has an object to collect waste heat from the engine and make most use of the collected waste heat to achieve the maximum effect of improving fuel consumption ratio. The waste heat utilizing system has a waste heat collecting cycle for collecting waste heat from an internal combustion engine and having an expansion device for generating rotational driving force from the collected waste heat, a refrigerating cycle having a compressor device for compressing a refrigerant and a power transmitting means rotationally driven by a driving force generating means and operatively connected to the compressor device to rotationally drive the same. In this system, the expansion device is operatively connected to the compressor device to rotationally drive the same.

Waste heat utilizing system

In a refrigerating device comprising waste heat utilization equipment having: a refrigerating cycleformed by sequentially connecting a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator; and a Rankine cycleformed by sequentially connecting a heaterusing the waste heat of a heat generating device (for example, an internal combustion engine)as a heating source, an expansion device, the above-mentioned condenser, and a pump, in which the drive shafts of the compressorand the expansion deviceare separated from each other. Then, the output of the expansion deviceis used mainly for generating electricity.

Refrigerating device comprising waste heat utilization equipment

A fluid machine according to the present invention has an expansion device for collecting waste heat from an internal combustion engine and converting the collected heat energy into mechanical rotational force, an electric rotating device selectively operating as an electric power generator and as an electric motor, and a pump device for pressurizing refrigerant for Rankine cycle, wherein those components are operatively connected with each other by a single rotating shaft. When starting up Rankine cycle, the electric rotating device is operated as the electric motor, so that the pump device is driven to pressurize and pump out high pressure refrigerant. Once the expansion device starts its operation, the electric rotating device is rotated by the expansion device and therefore the operational mode of the electric rotating device is switched over to the power generating mode. The expansion device will be operated at its maximum efficiency in relation to the heat energy inputted into the Rankine cycle, by controlling the power generation at the electric rotating device.

Fluid machine for converting heat energy into mechanical rotational force

A vapor-compression refrigerant cycle system with a refrigeration cycle and a Rankine cycle includes a compressor, a radiator, a gas-liquid separator, a decompression device and an evaporator. In the vapor-compression refrigerant cycle system, a liquid pump is disposed for supplying the liquid refrigerant in the gas-liquid separator to a heater for heating the refrigerant, a cooling means is provided for cooling the liquid refrigerant to be sucked into the liquid pump, and an energy recovery unit for expanding the refrigerant flowing out of the heater is disposed to recover thermal energy in the refrigerant from the heater. When the Rankine cycle is set so that the energy recovery unit recovers the thermal energy, the cooling means cools the liquid refrigerant to be sucked into the liquid pump. Therefore, pumping efficiency of the liquid pump can be effectively improved.

Vapor-compression refrigerant cycle system with refrigeration cycle and Rankine cycle

A fluid machine for a waste heat collecting system for an internal combustion engine has an object to make most use of the collected waste heat and an operation of a compressor, an alternator or the like by a rotational driving force from an expansion device function well even during an engine running is stopped. The fluid machine according to the present invention has a pulley connected to the engine, an expansion device for generating a rotational driving force from the collected waste heat, a compressor device driven by the pulley and the expansion device, wherein a rotating shaft is commonly used for the pulley, the expansion device and the compressor device. The expansion device is an expansion device for changing its expansion volume, so that the Rankine cycle for collecting the waste heat can be operated most effectively.

Fluid machine

An air conditioning system for a vehicle has a cool storage heat exchanger for continuing cooling operation with stored cooling energy during a compressor is stopped due to a temporal stop of an engine for the vehicle. Cooling energy is stored in the cool storage material of the cool storage heat exchanger during a normal cooling operation during which the compressor is operated by the engine. When the vehicle stops, for example before a traffic lamp, and thereby the compressor is not operated, an ejector is operated to circulate the refrigerant from the cool storage heat exchanger to an evaporator so that the cooling operation can be continued.

Air conditioning system for vehicle

An object of the invention is to provide a rankine cycle suitable for a use for a motor vehicle. In a waste heat collecting system having the rankine cycle and a refrigerating cycle, when ECU receives an air-conditioning signal from A/C ECU, the refrigerating cycle is operated, by preceding the operation of the rankine cycle. In the case that there is no air-conditioning signal and a temperature of an engine cooling water is higher than a predetermined value, the rankine cycle is operated.

Waste heat collecting system having rankine cycle and heating cycle

A swing member is supported by a swing support member like a universal joint of a Hook's type such that it can swing in a state where it is prevented from rotating around a center line. In this manner, even if a shaft rotates at high speed, the swing member is surely prevented from rotating around the shaft. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a piston from excessively vibrating, hence to prevent large noises from being made, and to improve reliability and durability of a compressor when the compressor is operated at high speed.

Wobble type fluid pump having swing support mechanism

A scroll-type compressor for realizing the operating condition of complete 0% capacity without using an electromagnetic clutch. In order to minimize the power loss, a compliance crankshaft mechanism for allowing the orbiting radius of the movable scroll member to change steplessly to zero is interposed between a shaft and a scroll member. A guide hole having an inclined surface such as a two-step conical surface is formed at the end plate of the movable scroll member. A plunger adapted to engage by advancing toward and retracting from the guide hole is supported on a housing. When the plunger is advanced into the guide hole under the control of a control operation device including a control pressure chamber and a control valve, the movable scroll member moves radially, so that the amount of eccentricity and the orbiting radius thereof are reduced to achieve the 0% capacity.

Scroll compressor with mechanically actuated capacity control

A variable displacement compressor includes a linking groove, which forms a hinge for connecting an arm and an inclining member. The groove is generally U-shaped (open). A link pin is fitted in the groove such that the link pin can pivot or slide within the groove. As a result, installation of a movable parts assembly, which is done by inserting the link pin into the groove, is easier. A controlled pressure chamber improves the response of the compressor to controls.

Variable displacement compressor

Downsizing a piston stroke dimension in a compressor that reciprocates pistons is accomplished by changing a radial directional component of a shaft of a motion that is transferred to a link from a revolving member revolved by the shaft when transferred to the link attached to the pistons. Thereby, when the revolving member, driven by a shaft, revolves once, a center of a sliding pin appears to reciprocate once in a vertical direction as it goes back and forth on both sides interposing a piston axial line. Thus, when the revolving member revolves once, the piston reciprocates twice in a cylinder bore in a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the driving shaft.

A performance of a compressor is enhanced and durability of scroll bodies is enhanced by optimizing relief to machining tolerance at a central end part of spiral members for forming the scroll bodies. In a scroll type compressor in which a reinforced portion (for example, a large radius of curvature R) reinforced more than in other root corner portions,is provided in a root corner portion,at a central end part in which a stress of the two spiral members,and,is increased, a first relief is formed in a region in which the two spiral members,and,come into contact with each other where the reinforced portion is applied only to one of the spiral members,and,and a second relief larger than the first relief is provided in a region in which the two spiral members come into contact with each other at a portion in which the radius of curvature R is provided in both of the two spiral members, thereby reasonably forming reliefs for avoiding interference at the point of contact of two spiral members.

Scroll type compressor

A scroll type compressor having a front housing, a rear housing, an intermediate outer shell portion arranged between the front and rear housing to form an integral stationary scroll element having a stationary end plate and a stationary spiral member, a movable scroll element having a movable end plate and a movable spiral element and being engaged with the stationary scroll element to define a plurality of compression chambers shifting and reducing in volume to compress refrigerant gas, containing therein an oil component, in response to an orbiting motion of the movable scroll element, a suction port formed in the intermediate outer shell portion to directly introduce the refrigerant gas into the compression chambers, and a discharge chamber in which the refrigerant gas after compression is discharged from the compression chambers. The rear housing having an oil-separating chamber for separating the oil component from the refrigerant gas after compression and an oil-storing chamber for storing therein the separated oil to be supplied to the interior of the front housing via an oil passage formed in the intermediate outer shell to cool and lubricate movable elements and portions of the compressor.

A scroll type compressor includes a stationary scroll element, a movable scroll element orbiting about a given axis and cooperating with the stationary scroll element for compressing a fluid in a compression chamber defined between the two scroll elements, and a rotation preventing unit for preventing rotation of the movable scroll element about its own axis. The rotation preventing unit has at least a plurality of pairs of scroll side pins mounted on the movable scroll element and housing side pins mounted on a housing of the compressor. When the compression chamber has a reduced volume of 10 through 22% of an initial volume thereof immediately after completion of sucking of the fluid, at least two of the plurality of scroll side pins are arranged to be symmetrical with one another with respect to a line L.sub.2 which passes through a rotating center O.sub.R of the movable scroll element and is perpendicular to a different line L.sub.1 which passes through the rotating center O.sub.R of the movable scroll element and an orbiting center O.sub.S of the movable scroll element. The two scroll side pins are also arranged on a leading side to the cooperating housing side pins, respectively, in a direction corresponding to a direction of rotation of the movable scroll element about the rotating center O.sub.R.

Scroll type compressor with improved rotation preventing means

A scroll type compressor having a housing unit in which a movable scroll element and a stationary scroll element are received in such a relationship that the movable scroll element orbits about the center of the stationary scroll element. The scroll type compressor further having a mechanical reinforced rotation preventing unit for preventing rotation of the movable scroll element about its own axis, and the rotation preventing unit having first stationary pin fixed to an inner end face of the housing unit and second movable pin fixed to an end face of a base plate of the movable scroll element, and a ring engaged with the first and second rings. A thickness T1 between the outer circumference of the first pin and the inner edge of the inner end face of the housing unit is set to be equal to or larger than 2.4 mm. A thickness T2 between the outer circumference of the second pin and the outer circumference of the base plate of the movable scroll element is set to be equal to or larger than 2.7 mm. A radial wall thickness T3 of the ring between the outer and inner cylindrical surfaces thereof is set to be equal to or larger than 1.7 mm.
