According to an aspect of the disclosure, a first light-emitting layer coincides in plan view with each whole of a plurality of pixel electrodes included in a plurality of second sub-pixels, and with each whole of a plurality of pixel electrodes included in a plurality of third sub-pixels. The first light-emitting layer is shaped into a continuous form. A third light-emitting layer in plan view: has an opening kbinside a peripheral end portion of each of a plurality of pixel electrodes included in a plurality of first sub-pixels, and coincides with a whole circumference of the peripheral end portion; and has an opening inside a peripheral end portion of each of a plurality of pixel electrodes included in the plurality of second sub-pixels, and coincides with a whole circumference of the peripheral end portion.

A light-emitting device includes a light-emitting layer that includes, in each of a plurality of pixels: a light-emitting region in which a drive current flows between a first electrode and a second electrode; and a non-light-emitting region in which no drive current flows between the first electrode and the second electrode. Disclosure is related to a display device

Provided is a display element according to an aspect of the disclosure including a flattening film and, on the flattening film, a plurality of banks each having a linear shape, a plurality of active layers each having a linear shape and formed between adjacent banks, and an upper transparent electrode formed on each of the plurality of active layers. A cut line having a locally reduced height with reference to the flattening film is formed in each the plurality of banks, and the upper transparent electrode formed on one of the adjacent active layers and the upper transparent electrode formed on the other of the adjacent active layers are electrically connected via a conductive electrode formed in the cut line.

Provided is compatibility between adhesion to a substrate (lower layer) and durability improvement. An optical element includes a phosphor layer facing a lower layer, and a bonding layer keeping the phosphor layer in intimate contact with the lower layer. The phosphor layer includes an inorganic binder, and phosphor particle dispersed with the inorganic binder. The bonding layer includes an organic binder. The phosphor layer has a first surface facing the lower layer, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a side surface connecting the first and second surfaces together. The bonding layer connects together the second surface, the side surface, and a surface of the lower layer to keep the phosphor layer in intimate contact with the lower layer.
