An organic electroluminescent device comprises an anode, a positive-hole transport layer, an emitting layer, (an electron transport layer) and a cathode which are layered in sequence, wherein the emitting layer (and/or the electron transport layer) comprises at least one of dioxazine compounds or diazine compounds. The emitting capability of the organic electroluminescent device is improved in luminance and efficiency upon application of a low voltage.

Organic electroluminescent device

An electrophotographic toner containing a specific compound as the charge control agent is described. The electrophotographic toner according to the present invention have a sharper distribution of the amount of electrification and better moisture resistance and time stability than those of a toner wherein a conventional charge control agent is used. Therefore it can provide an image having a very high gradation and has a very high capability of repeatedly forming an image. Since the charge control agent, as such, is essentially colorless, a colorant can freely be selected according to a hue required of a color toner and the toner is not detrimental to the hue inherent in a dye and a pigment.

Electrophotographic toner

An electrophotographic toner containing a specific compound as the charge control agent is described. The electrophotographic toner according to the present invention have a sharper distribution of charge and better moisture resistance and charge durability than those of a toner wherein a conventional charge control agent is used. Therefore it can provide an image having a very high gradation and has a very high capability of repeatedly forming an image. Since the charge control agent, as such, is essentially colorless, a colorant can freely be selected according to a hue required of a color toner and the toner is not detrimental to the hue inherent in a dye and a pigment. The charge control agent is highly safe to environment.

A cuprophthalocyanine type compound represented by formula [1] in the form of free acid ##STR1## (wherein D is a cuprophthalocyanine radical; B is an alkylene group of 2 to 4 carbon atoms or a phenylene group which may have one or two carboxyl group(s) or sulfonic acid group(s) as a substituent(s); R is a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy-lower alkyl group; X is a carboxyl group or a carbamoyl group and combines with the 3- or 4-position of the pyridine ring; l is 1, 2 or 3; m is 0, 1 or 2; n is 1 or 2; and the sum of l, m and n is 2, 3 or 4) as well as a method for dyeing cellulosic fiber materials using the said compounds.
