A control device for weft inserting in a jet loom realizes weft inserting in stable running conditions without depending on the professional perceptions and experiences of operators. The control device for weft inserting is constructed by inferring a corrected value of at least one parameter for weft inserting by fuzzy inference on the basis of at least one operating information relating to the weft inserting in a weaving machine in order to accept an operating condition of the weaving machine at an objective value, and controlling at least one actuator for weft inserting on the basis of the corrected value inferred by the fuzzy inference.

Control device for weft inserting in jet loom

An apparatus for controlling weft inserting enables the calculation of accurate pressures suitable to an actual weft and weft inserting device. One or more definite weaving conditions determined by one or more manufacturer's textile and weaving machine specifications and one or more indefinite weaving conditions determined by human senses are inputted to a fuzzy inference circuit in which the pressure value of fluid supplied to a weft inserting nozzle is calculated by fuzzy inference on the basis of the definite and indefinite weaving conditions thus inputted. The weft inserting pressure of the fluid delivered to the weft inserting device is adjusted on the basis of the inferred value.

A picking control device for a loom comprising a pressure controller for controlling jet pressure of a picking nozzle, a timing controller for controlling operation time of a picking member, angle corrector for correcting the start angle of the weft yarn and a condition setting section which is operated on the condition that one of the signals from the pressure controller or angle corrector is not present so that at least one of the jet pressure, start angle or speed of the loom is maintained at an optimum value. This allows for effective picking with adequate air consumption and helps to prevent weaving defects such as cutting of the weft yarn at the time of termination of picking, warp engagement and the like.

Picking control device with pressure correcting apparatus

A control method and control apparatus for controlling jet pressure of a picking nozzle of a jet loom which includes detecting a flying characteristic of the filling yarn and inhibiting descending control of a pressure controller for controlling jet pressure when the unevenness of the flying characteristic exceeds a set allowable value. In the control apparatus, the pressure controller is positively controlled by an auxiliary controller provided with a flying characteristic detection mechanism, an unevenness calculation mechanism and a comparison mechanism.

Control of lower limit of jet pressure for a picking nozzle

A picking control apparatus for providing stable picking operation in a jet loom. The apparatus comprises an angle correcting section for outputting an angle correction amount of a picking start angle on the basis of an arrival angle deviation of filling yarn and a pressure correcting section for outputting a pressure correction amount of an injection pressure in a locking nozzle on the basis of a flying term deviation of filling yarn. The angle correcting section promptly corrects and controls a change of an arrival angle caused by a variation of flying characteristic of filling yarn, and thereafter the pressure correcting section corrects and controls a flying term so as to be adjusted to a set value. As a result, a stable picking operation in which only the picking start angle is not excessively deviated can be accomplished.

Picking control for air jet loom with timing and pressure correction

A wireless let-off and take-up control system for controlling the let-off motion and take-up mechanism of a loom or looms by wireless. The control system comprises a portable transmitter or transmitters, and a receiver or receivers each associated with the controller of a loom for controlling the let-off motion and take-up mechanism of the loom. Instructions for controlling the let-off motion and the take-up mechanism are given by wireless by operating the transmitter through the receiver to the controller of the loom at an optional position around the loom, so that a single operator is able to observe the movement of warps and, if necessary, to vibrate the warps in order to enable the warps to move smoothly past the droppers, the mails of heddles and reed of the loom in preparing a new warp beam for weaving operation on the loom.
