A second housingis capable of moving in a direction in which the second housing covers one surface of a first housing. Oscillating elements of an oscillating element groupare arranged in a matrix and oscillate sound waves outward from the one surface of the first housing. A control unit controls the plurality of oscillating elements. A sound wave sensor constitutes the same matrix as the plurality of oscillating elements and detects sound waves having a specific wavelength. The detection results of the sound wave sensor are output to the control unit. A frame body holds the plurality of oscillating elements and the sound wave sensor. The control unit oscillates sensor sound waves having a specific wavelength outward from at least one of the oscillating elements. The control unit determines that the second housingcovers the one surface of the first housingwhen the sound wave sensor detects the sound waves having the specific wavelength.

Electronic apparatus and control method for electronic apparatus

An electronic apparatus () includes a first detachable speaker unit () including a first speaker having a relatively high directivity, and a second detachable speaker unit () including a second speaker having a relatively low directivity. The electronic apparatus () further includes a body unit (an electronic apparatus body ()) provided with a slot () in which any one of the first detachable speaker unit () and the second detachable speaker unit () is detachably installed therein in an alternative way, and a control unit that is provided in the body unit and controls the first and second speakers.

An oscillation device (electro-acoustic transducer ()) includes an oscillation element () that has a vibrating member () and a piezoelectric element () that is attached to one surface of the vibrating member (). In an electro-acoustic transducerwhich is an oscillator device, center positions of principal surfaces of piezoelectric elementsthat are positioned on both surfaces of an elastic memberare different from each other. As such, since the two piezoelectric elementsare disposed asymmetrically on the upper and lower sides in the electro-acoustic transducer, it is possible to prevent vibrations of reversed phases at the time of divided vibration in which the reversed phases overlap with each other. In other words, since it is possible to prevent the generation of sound waves due to the vibration of local reversed phases, the sound pressure level can be improved.

Oscillator device and electronic apparatus

A plurality of magnetostrictive elements made of ferrite or the like are arranged in a matrix on an upper surface of a circuit board. On the periphery of each of the magnetostrictive elements, a voice coil is arranged. When current flows to the voice coils, the magnetostrictive elements themselves expand and contract in their center axis direction (height direction), and whereby ultrasonic waves (carrier waves) are emitted into the air from the magnetostrictive elements themselves. Since the magnetostrictive elements made of ferrite or the like are used, power consumption can be reduced, compared with the case of using piezoelectric vibrators. Also, the magnetostrictive elements can be made resistant to damage even if subjected to an impact due to falling or the like. Accordingly, in a parametric speaker using ultrasonic waves as carrier waves, power consumption can be reduced and vibrating elements can be made resistant to impact damage.

Disclosed is an electronic device including: a housing () in which at least one sound hole () and at least one sound hole () are formed; an oscillator () that is provided inside the housing () and outputs a modulated wave for a parametric loudspeaker; a sound demodulation unit () that is not provided in the sound hole () but provided in the sound hole () and demodulates the modulated wave; and a sound hole opening and closing unit () that is mounted to the housing () and opens and closes the sound hole ().

Electroacoustic transducer

A vibration member () has a sheet shape. A piezoelectric element () is attached to one surface of the vibration member (). A support member () supports the edge of the vibration member (). The support member () includes a first facing portion () and a second facing portion (). The first facing portion () faces the surface of the vibration member () to which the piezoelectric element () is attached. The second facing portion () faces the surface of the vibration member () which is located on the opposite side to the piezoelectric element (). A first spring () is provided between the first facing portion () and the vibration member () or the piezoelectric element (). A second spring () is provided between the second facing portion () and the vibration member ().

Oscillation device

An oscillation device includes: a piezoelectric vibrator () in which electrode layers () are formed over top and bottom surfaces of a piezoelectric layer (); a vibrating member () having at least atop surface to which the piezoelectric vibrator () is bonded; and a resin member () formed continuously in a circumferential direction over at least the outer side surface of the piezoelectric vibrator (). Therefore, since it is possible to increase the working area of the piezoelectric vibrator, it is possible to realize both an increase in the sound pressure level of the output and miniaturization of the apparatus.

A mobile phone () detects at least a direction of an utterance position of a user from the voice input to a plurality of microphones () and controls an output direction of a voice out of a speaker unit () to match the detected utterance position. Accordingly, it is possible to provide sound with sufficient volume only for a specific user without causing noise in the neighborhood. The microphones may form a matrix together with piezoelectric vibrators that form a speaker unit, or may be formed separately from the speaker unit.

Audio equipment and oscillation unit

Provided is an electronic device including a modulation unit () that modulates a sound signal to a modulation wave for a parametric speaker; an oscillator () to which the modulation wave is input; an equalizer () that corrects a frequency characteristic of a sound wave that is demodulated by the modulation wave; and a control unit () that selects a carrier frequency of the modulation wave and changes setting of the equalizer () on the basis of the selected carrier frequency. Thus, it is possible to provide the electronic device capable of correcting the frequency characteristic of the sound wave that is demodulated, for each carrier frequency of the modulation wave.
