Provided is a liquid crystal display apparatus capable of avoiding heat radiation hindrance caused from blocking of a heat radiation path by electric wiring and from interference of the electric wiring with a radiating portion for heat generated from circuit boards, in which a heat diffusion member and the circuit boards including an LED driver substrate are arranged in a plane at the rear of a frame in a housing while being isolated from one another, and LED light sources mounted on metal blocks are connected to the LED substrate through a flexible cable which is led from the outsides of the metal blocks and the heat diffusion member and is then led between the heat diffusion member and a rear case.

Liquid crystal display apparatus with flexible cable connecting light source and circuit board

Each of plural light source units is formed by combining a light source formed of plural light emitting elements mounted on a wiring substrate with a light guide plate having a side surface serving as a light incident surface. The wiring substrate is attached to the chassis such that the light output surface of the light emitting element is perpendicular to the light emitting element mount surface of the wiring substrate. The wiring patterns each with the larger width than that of the electrode are formed on both upper and back surfaces of the substrate at the portion to which the power feeding electrode of the light emitting element is soldered. They are connected via the through holes which are arranged in plural rows around the electrode.

An electronic equipment includes a cooling system using boiling and condensation of a refrigerant, especially stabilizes the cooling performance, and reduces the influence which vibration accompanying phase change of boiling and condensation gives to the electronic equipment. Electronic equipment includes a cooling system including a cooling part which cools heat generating from a heat generator such as a heat generating component by using boiling of a refrigerant and is thermally connected to the heat generator such as the heat generating element, a heat radiation part which radiates heat absorbed by the refrigerant in the cooling part by condensation, a refrigerant drive part for delivering the condensed refrigerant to the cooling part again, and piping which fluidly connects them, and the electronic equipment includes preliminary heating means for heating the refrigerant, which flows to the cooling part from the refrigerant drive part, between the refrigerant drive part and the cooling part.

There is provided a slim liquid crystal display unit having a large screen by providing a slim structure capable of sufficiently radiating the heat from a light source. The liquid crystal display unit according to the present invention includes: a liquid crystal panel; an optical guiding board installed on a rear face thereof; a pair of light source-mounted substrate disposed, opposing right and left side faces thereof; a light source mounted on the light source-mounted substrate; a metal frame connected on the opposite side to the optical guiding board of the light source-mounted substrate; a chassis member for supporting the optical guiding board and a reflection sheet group; and a thermal diffusion member fixed onto the metal frame along with the chassis member. The chassis member has a stepped portion in the vicinity of the light source. Between the stepped portion and the reflection sheet group, a thermal insulation member is attached.

For providing a liquid cooling system for an electronic apparatus having a heat-generating element within a housing thereof, enabling small-sizes thereof and being effective for lowering noises when the apparatus is operated, equipped with a new type of a driving means for a liquid coolant therein, comprises a heat-receiving jacketfor transferring heat generated from the heat-generating element to a liquid coolant, to evaporate it, within an inside thereof; a radiatorfor guiding the evaporated coolant supplied from the heat-receiving jacket into an inside thereof, so as to cool it to be liquefied; and a driving meansfor applying driving force for circulating the liquid coolant, through repetition of heating and cooling upon a portion of the liquefied liquid coolant supplied from the radiator, while restricting a flow direction of the liquid coolant within an inside thereof into one direction, whereby circulating said liquid coolant within a circulation loop including the heat-receiving jacket, the radiator, and the driving means.

Liquid cooling system

A liquid crystal display apparatus which exhausts heat generated within the apparatus efficiently, and reduces temperature increase in the heat-frail sections is provided. A circuit board mounting surface at the back of the liquid crystal monitor unit is divided into a plurality of board mount areas using the vertically extending reinforcement members. A signal circuit board section and TCON (Timing control) circuit board section are disposed in the same board mount area which is different from the partition where the power supply circuit board section resides. By arranging this way, the temperature increase in the heat-frail sections of the signal circuit board section is reduced, and the hot air heated by the power supply circuit board in the power supply circuit board section goes up along the reinforcement members, thus an efficient heat exhaustion is achieved.

Liquid crystal display appliance

If a forced convection is generated by a cooling fan, there is generated a problem that a natural convection is prevented and a cooling effect in a region of the natural convection is lowered. The invention provides a structure in which an air flow generated by a forced convection does not come into contact with an air flow generated by a natural convection, by setting a partition all between a forced convection path in which the air flows on the basis of a forced convection generated by a cooling fan, and a natural convection path in which the air flows on the basis of a natural convection. Further, the partition wall is not provided near an upper end so as to draw in the air flowing through the natural convection path to a side of the forced convection path, thereby promoting the natural convection of the natural convection path.

In a liquid cooling system, comprising: a heat-receiving jacket for receiving heat from a heat-generation body therein; a heat-radiator for radiating the heat therefrom, which is received within the heat-receiving jacket; and a tank for accumulating refrigerant therein, which is connected with the heat-receiving jacket and the heat-radiator through flow passages, thereby enclosing a refrigerant within the heat-receiving jacket, the heat-radiator and the tank, including the flow passages provided therebetween, and further comprising: a liquid transfer means for generating a circulation flow of the refrigerant enclosed therein, wherein the tank is built up on one side surface of a substrate having superior heat-conductivity and heat-resistance, defined between a flexible film or sheet having superior heat-conductivity and heat-resistance, and the heat-radiator having a heat-radiation flow passage on the other side surface thereof, defined between the flexible film or sheet having superior heat-conductivity and heat-resistance.

In an electronic apparatus having a heat-generating element therein, a cooling jacketfor transmitting heat generated from the heat-generating elementinto to a liquid coolant flowing therein, comprises: a coverbuilding up a heat transfer surface to be in contact with a surface of the heat-generating element; a passagefor the liquid coolant, which is formed neighboring with the heat transfer surface and wound round in a 'S'-like manner within an inside of a main bodyof the cooling jacket; and an inletand an outletattached at both ends of the flow passage of the liquid coolant, and further a dispersion memberis disposed in the flow passage, being built up by gathering a plural number of members, each of which has a 'U'-like cross-section of an aspect ratio from 10 to 20, thereby diffusing the liquid coolant therein, so as to transfer the heat from the heat-generating element thereto with high efficiency, and thereby enabling to cool down the heat-generating element, fully, even with a relatively small amount or volume of the liquid coolant.

A liquid cooling system is disclosed for use in an electronic apparatus. The system is constructed to be of a reduced size and thickness, thus allowing it to be used for cooling heat-generating devices such as semiconductor elements, while maintaining corrosion resistance. The system includes a pump, a heat-receiving jacket, and flow passages through which the cooling liquid is circulated. An ion exchange bag having a water-permeable bag is disposed within the liquid cooling system. The water-permeable bag further contains an ion exchange resin therein.

A liquid crystal display device in which light from a light source enters a liquid crystal panel and exits therefrom for projection of an image and includes a heat conducting member and a cooling unit. The heat conducting member is contacted with at least one of a light incident surface and a light outgoing surface of the liquid crystal panel, is light-transmissive, and has a larger area than a light transmitting area of the liquid crystal panel.
