An object of this invention is to provide an apparatus and method capable of printing part of a book file by designating the range. A setting user interface window is displayed from a print setting menu, a desired unit is selected from a print target column, and the range is designated in the selected unit. This invention relates to a document processing apparatus which edits document data which can define a desired section using an original page as a unit of definition.
