A first terminal housing chamber of a terminal body includes a first elastic contact part that contacts the first counterpart terminal while imparting resilient force in a direction orthogonal to an insertion direction of the first counterpart terminal, and gaps with respect to the first counterpart terminal in a direction orthogonal to the insertion direction of the first counterpart terminal and the resilient force imparting direction of the first elastic contact part. A second terminal housing chamber of the terminal body includes a second elastic contact part that contacts the second counterpart terminal while imparting resilient force in a direction orthogonal to an insertion direction of the second counterpart terminal, and gaps with respect to the second counterpart terminal in a direction orthogonal to the insertion direction of the second counterpart terminal and the resilient force imparting direction of the second elastic contact part.

A die for a terminalized electric wire is provided with a first electrode, a hole forming jig, an electric wire pressing jig which surrounds a periphery of the first electrode, a second electrode and conductor accommodation parts. The conductor accommodation parts are recessed in molded inner wall surfaces at both sides of the electric wire pressing jig which holds a superposed configuration part in which the end side is superposed on the root side of the annular conductor in the vertical direction. A part of a molten conductor of the superposed configuration part flows into the conductor accommodation parts.

A connector structure includes a conductive rubber. The consecutive rubber is accommodated in an accommodating recess part of a first connector, and is configured to be sandwiched between a first terminal and a second terminal to electrically connect them when a first casing and a second casing are assembled so as to abut the first connector to a second connector. The conductive rubber includes both end surfaces which are contact points abutting against the first terminal and the second terminal, and a resilient part including a groove part formed on an outer circumference between the contact points so as to extend in a circumferential direction orthogonal to an axial direction connecting the end surfaces.

A method of manufacturing a terminal-formed electric wire includes a welding member placing process in which at least one welding member formed of metal having a melting point lower than that of a plurality of metal strands included in a core wire is arranged to the core wire of at least a terminal-forming target portion of the electric wire, and a terminal forming process in which the exposed terminal-forming target portion is interposed between first and second electrodes having a shape corresponding to a desired terminal shape, at least the welding member in the terminal-forming target portion is melted by electrically conducting the first and second electrodes while pressing the terminal-forming target portion with the first and second electrodes, and the melted metal is then solidified, so that the terminal-forming target portion is formed as a terminal portion having a desired terminal shape.

Method of manufacturing terminal-formed electric wire

A connection device to which a relay connector is applied includes relay terminals that have first connection portions capable of being elastically deformed along a first direction, second connection portions capable of being elastically deformed along the first direction, and coupling portions connecting the first and second connection portions, and are formed integrally with the first and second connection portions, and the coupling portions, and a holding unit that holds the relay terminal and has reaction force receiving portions supporting the coupling portions with such positional relation that first counterpart terminals are capable of being connected to the first connection portions from one side in the first direction and second counterpart terminals are capable of being connected to the second connection portions from the other side in the first direction and receiving reaction forces with elastic deformation of the first and second connection portions.

A terminal crimping structure includes a coaxial cable, a terminal fitting including a tubular conductor connecting portion coaxially interposed between a terminal connecting portion of an outer conductor of the coaxial cable and an insulator, a tubular crimping member that allows the terminal connecting portion to be coaxially interposed between the crimping member and the conductor connecting portion to crimp the terminal connecting portion onto the conductor connecting portion, and a tubular member that is stronger and harder than the conductor connecting portion and coaxially interposed between the conductor connecting portion and the insulator. Linear conductors of the terminal connecting portion include crushed portions that abut each other. The crushed portions are crushed until they are axially extended by an amount achieving a target crushed state in which an oxide layer is broken to obtain an exposed region of a new surface required for adhesion to the conductor connecting portion.

A first plate of a shield shell includes a flat plate member and at least one crimping piece extending from an outer circumferential edge of the flat plate member and folded back to one surface of the flat plate member in a penetrating direction of a first through hole. A second plate of the shield shell piled on the flat plate member with a developed portion of a shield member held by and between the flat plate member and the second plate is crimped and fixed to the one surface of the flat plate member by a tip end of the crimping piece. A tabular portion of the shield member passes through the first through hole or a second through hole and extends out of the shield shell.

A connector includes: a terminal which is fixed to a conductor exposed from an end portion of a covered wire; a sealing portion which is made of an insulating and elastic material, and which integrally covers an adjacent portion of the terminal and a sheath of the covered wire; and a housing which is made of an insulating resin having rigidity higher than the elastic material, and which integrally covers whole of the sealing portion provided around the end portion of the covered wire. A terminal-side end face of the sealing portion is exposed from the housing at a bottom of an annular recess formed in a terminal-side end face of the housing so as to surround the terminal.

Terminal-formed wire and manufacturing method thereof

A connector includes: a terminal; a housing; a rear holder; and a rubber plug. A terminal receiving chamber of the housing is provided with: a first receiving portion receiving a wire connecting portion, an electric wire connected to the wire connecting portion, and a rubber plug; a second receiving portion; and a step wall interposed between the first and second receiving portions and allowing a flange portion formed on the wire connecting portion to abut on the step wall. The rubber plug is composed of a ring-shaped packing attached to the electric wire and keeping a space between an outer peripheral wall of the electric wire and an inner wall of the first receiving portion watertight, and a resin member. The resin member is provided with a buried portion buried in the packing, and a cylinder portion extended from the buried portion and interposed between the flange and the packing.

Connector for automobile wiring harness

A connector includes a cylindrical-shaped housing inserting therein a wire, a shield shell disposed on an outer side of the housing, and a mounting member assembled with the housing and the shield shell. The mounting member includes a tubular portion inserted into a gap between the housing and the shield shell in a diameter direction of the housing and contacted with an end face of the housing. The shield shell includes a fixing portion fixed to the housing and a movable portion rotatably connected to the fixing portion. A fixing mechanism is provided between the movable portion and the tubular portion, moves the end face toward the tubular portion when the movable portion is rotated, and fixes the housing and the shield shell to the mounting member when the tubular portion and the end face closely contacted with each other.
