A fixed focus camera is arranged to shorten the minimum object distance for shooting by moving a lens section to a hyperfocal distance position. The camera is arranged to mount the objective lens system and the diaphragm member on the same tube, the lens system being formed to provide fixed focus, the diaphragm member being provided with a rotating member which is rotated to reduce light from the lens system, and to connect the tube to the body with a helicoid screw so that the rotation of the tube opens and closes the diaphragm member, and moves the lens system back and forth. Then, when the diaphragm opening is reduced by the rotations of the tube, the objective lens system is moved forward to a position where the subject is captured at a hyperfocal distance. This enables it to perform shooting at a hyperfocal distance, whereby the minimum object distance for shooting can be shortened when the diaphragm opening is reduced.

The dual-focus change-over camera provides a camera which allows telescope or wide angle photographing with a simple arrangement, and which is inexpensive, small size, and light weighted. The camera comprises a finder change-over member arranged to be movable for establishing two finder openings for different focal distance, a telescope lens and a standard lens for performing photographing with two focal distance, a fixed mirror for reflecting image light from the telescope lens, and a movable mirror movable between a first position (telescope position) for directing the image light from reflected by the fixed mirror to a film and a second position (standard position) for directing the image light from the other standard lens to the film. Then, the movable mirror is rotated to the first or second position in interlocking with the sliding operation of the finder change-over member. Thus, dual-focus photographing such as telescoping and standard photographing, or standard and closed photographing can be attained with a simple arrangement.

A telescope provided with an automatically opening and closing lens cover which obviates a protective cap attached to the main body. The telescope is provided with a lens hood disposed along a cylinder of the main body in such a manner as to be slidable forward and backward, and two movable lens covers disposed in such a manner as to cover the objective lenses provided at one end of the cylinder. The two lens covers are axially rotatably supported between the objective lenses. A guide pin is attached to the side surface of each lens cover, and a guide groove is provided on the inner surface of the lens hood in such a manner as to be engaged with the guide pin so as to open and close the lens cover by the forward and backward movements of the lens hood. When the lens hood is moved forward and the lens covers covering the objective lenses are opened, thereby enabling observation. When the lens hood is moved backward in this state, the lens covers are replaced to the original position and closed. This structure is also applicable to a monocular telescope.

An overhead projector for projecting an image of a sheet material placed on a flat stage onto a remote screen standing almost vertically has a projection optical system with its optical axis aligned with a normal line of the stage. The projection optical system is shifted keeping the optical axis in parallel with the normal line so as to project an image at an angle of elevation onto the screen.

A camera provided with a binocular stereoscopic finder which stereoscopically displays the relationship between a subject and the focal range. The binocular stereoscopic finder is provided with a pair of foreground reticles with a pair of foreground marking members for indicating the position of the near distance of the depth of field attached thereto and a pair of background reticles a pair of background marking members for indicating the far distance of the depth of field attached thereto. Each pair of reticles are moved in the horizontal direction in accordance with a preset stop value or a preset object distance. Since the depth of field is stereoscopically displayed in the finder by a foreground mark and a background mark, it is possible to judge the focal range in a three-dimensional image. The present invention is also applicable to a fixed focus and fixed stop camera.

Camera provided with binocular stereoscopic finder

A stereoviewer and package for facilitating the immediate observation of a stereo pair of photographs and enabling all people to adjust the focal length to their own least distance of distinct vision. A box-shaped main body case for accommodating stereoscopic photographs and a lid case attached to the main body case so as to be slidable thereon serves as a package which is opened and closed by the sliding operation of both cases. A holder portion is provided on the rear surface, for example, of the main body case so as to position and hold the stereoscopic photographs in a standing state, and binocular lenses are disposed on the front surface of the lid case so as to view the stereoscopic photographs therethrough. The rear surface of the main body case and the front surface of the lid case are inclined in such a manner that the side surfaces of the stereoviewer are in a shape of a trapezoid when the main body case is attached upside down to the lid case at the time of observation. It is thus possible to view the vertically central portion of the stereoscopic photographs through the binocular lenses, and is also possible to change the distance between the binocular lenses and the stereoscopic photographs by the sliding operation of both cases.

A stereoviewer for observing a stereo pair of photographs three-dimensionally through binocular lenses is shown and described. The stereoviewer comprises a box-shaped main body case having a space for accommodating stereoscopic photographs; a lid for covering the main body case; holder portions provided on one side surface of the box-shaped main body case so as to position and hold the stereoscopic photographs in a non-perpendicular standing state; and binocular lenses provided thereon are inclined in such a manner that the binocular lenses face the vertical center portion of the stereoscopic photographs. This stereoviewer also serves as a package and has a simple structure. The thickness of the binocular lenses are varied so that the focal distance is different between the upper portion and the lower portion of said binocular lenses and the binocular lenses are decentered outwardly in the horizontal direction.

A shutter apparatus for stereoscopic cameras for simultaneously taking a pair of stereoscopic photographs. A coupled shutter leaf is produced by integrally connecting two shutter leaves respectively disposed on two photographing lens portions provided with spots having different apertures. The coupled shutter leaf is rotatably supported by a connecting portion. The shutter leaf disposed at the photographing portion provided with the stop having a smaller aperture has a smaller width, and a weight for compensating for the weight of the shutter leaf which is reduced as a result of reducing the width thereof is provided. The exposure time of the photographing portion provided with the stop having a smaller aperture is longer than that of the other photographing portion, so that the quantity of incident light at the two photographing portions is the same. It is also possible that the shutter leaves have the same width and the connecting portion for rotatably supporting the coupled shutter leaf is shifted from the center of the two stops closer to the stop having a large aperture.

A laser interferometer for inspecting the surface condition of a specimen by irradiating the specimen on a specimen support mechanism with a laser beam projected thereto through a reference plate, and observing the interference fringe produced by interference between reflected light from a reference surface of the reference plate and a surface of the specimen under inspection, the laser interferometer includes: an interferometer housing accommodating therein an optical laser beam guide member and an optical interference fringe imaging member, and is provided with a laser beam guide portion in a wall portion thereof; a laser tube mount member of a cylindrical form projected on the outer side of the housing and positioned in such a manner so as to circumvent the laser guide portion; and a laser tube detachably fitted in the laser tube mount member.

Laser interferometer for inspecting the surface of a specimen

On the camera body of a photographic camera provided with manually operable exposure controlling dials or knobs, is provided a cover which can be closed to cover the dials or knobs to prevent them from being manually operated. When the cover is open, the dials and knobs can be manually operated as desired. When the cover is closed, the exposure controlling dials and knobs are in the position to effect a normal exposure.
