According to an exemplary embodiment, an industrial machine includes: a movement mechanism configured to move along a specific axis direction; a controller configured to control the movement mechanism; and an angle detector configured to detect an angle of the movement mechanism about an axis perpendicular to the specific axis direction. The controller comprises: an angular error acquisition section configured to acquire angular errors of the movement mechanism for respective positions of the movement mechanism based on the angle detected when the movement mechanism is moved; a parameter generator configured to generate respective straightness correction parameters for correcting straightness errors of the movement mechanism in the specific axis direction by integrating the angular errors at the respective positions of the movement mechanism; and a correction section configured to correct movement errors of the movement mechanism based on the straightness correction parameters.

Industrial machine

A supporting device () for supporting a guide rail () for guiding a movable member subjected to relative displacement in relation to the base table (). The supporting device includes, base bodies () engaged onto the base table () and carrying the guide rail (), and holding section () for holding the guide rail () intervening between the guide rail () in the state where the guide rail is carried by the base bodies (). The holding section () supports the guide rail () in the state where it can move swingingly. A change in the posture or position of the base bodies () is offset with a swinging movement by the holding section, and does not affect the guide rail. As a result, excessive force is not applied on the guide rail, so that the form of the guide rail is maintained.

Driving device and measuring instrument

A measuring machine having a base ( ), a touch signal probe (P), a moving mechanism ( ) for retaining the touch signal probe (P) movably in three-dimensional directions, and a controller ( ) for controlling a movement of the moving mechanism ( ) and for acquiring coordinates value of respective axes based on a contact signal from the touch signal probe (P) to measure a dimension etc. of a workpiece based on the coordinates value is provided. Main structural members structuring the moving mechanism ( ), more specifically, a column ( ), a supporter ( ), a X-beam ( ), a Z-axis structure ( ) and a Z-axis spindle ( ) are made of aluminum or aluminum alloy including aluminum as main component, which has large thermal conductivity, thereby making temperature distribution uniform to improve geometrical accuracy.
