The present invention provides a method for detecting an interaction, which method can solve not only the problem of false negatives but also the problem of false positives. This method is a method for detecting a protein(s) that interact(s) with a target substance(s), the method comprising repeating a (1) transcription step, (2) assignment step, (3) selection step, and (4) amplification step, wherein: (a) in each of a plurality of times of preparation of a cDNA library among the initial preparation of a cDNA library and the round(s) of preparation of a cDNA library in the later amplification step(s), the cDNA library is prepared using a primer(s) having a sequence(s) specific to the time of preparation; (b) the cDNA libraries prepared using the primers having sequences specific to the times of preparation are mixed, and sequences in the cDNA library mixture are determined; (c) the determined sequences are subjected to measurement of the number(s) of molecules encoding the same candidate protein(s) for each time of preparation based on the sequence(s) specific to the time of preparation; and (d) a candidate protein(s) encoded by a molecule(s) that significantly increase(s) as the preparation rounds proceed is/are detected as the protein(s) that interact(s) with the target substance(s).

A highly fine organic electroluminescent device is provided. A method for manufacturing the organic electroluminescent device is provided for patterning a very fine light emitting layer, and a deposition mask is provided to be used in the patterning. For deposition of the light emitting layer, a mask member is provided with apertures (effective apertures) for forming the light emitting layer to be used for light emitting pixel and apertures (dummy apertures) not to be used for forming the light emitting pixel around an area (effective aperture area) separated by the outer edge of a group of the apertures. The light emitting layer is deposited by using the deposition mask.

Organic electroluminescent device and manufacturing method thereof

An integrated mask including a plurality of deposition masks, each deposition mask having an array of deposition apertures formed in accordance with a deposition pattern; and a base plate having a plurality of openings on which the deposition masks are arranged is provided. A method for producing an organic electroluminescent device, which is provided with first electrodes formed on a substrate, a thin film layer formed on the first electrode containing at least an emitting layer composed of an organic compound and a plurality of second electrodes formed on the thin film layer, and has a plurality of luminescent regions on said substrate, comprising the steps of forming spacers having a height at least partially exceeding the thickness of said thin film layer on the substrate, and vapor-depositing a deposit for patterning while the shadow mask having reinforcing lines formed across its apertures is kept in contact with said spacers. Highly precise fine patterning can be effected under wide vapor deposition conditions without degrading the properties of organic electroluminescent elements, and high stability can be achieved by a relatively simple process without limiting the structure of the electroluminescent device.

The display device has a first electrode formed on a substrate, the polyimide insulating layer formed on the first electrode in such a way that the first electrode is partially exposed, and a second electrode facing the first electrode, wherein the polyimide insulating layer is a positive-type photosensitive polyimide.

Process for producing an organic electroluminescent device

A method for producing an organic electroluminescent device, the organic electroluminescent device comprising a first electrode formed on a substrate, a thin film layer on the first electrodes, the thin film layer comprising at least an emitting layer comprising an organic compound, a second electrode formed on the thin film layer, and a plurality of luminescent regions on the substrate, wherein the method for producing the organic electroluminescent device comprises forming spacers having a height exceeding a thickness of the thin film layer on the substrate and vapor-depositing a deposit while a mask portion of a shadow mask is kept in contact with the spacers, the shadow mask comprising apertures having reinforcing lines. Highly precise fine patterning can be effected under wide vapor deposition conditions without degrading the properties of organic electroluminescent elements, and high stability can be achieved by the method without limiting the structure of the electroluminescent device.
