A pressure receiving surface inclined to a rotation axis is provided on the side surface of a stir probe of a rotating tool. The pressure receiving surface includes a pressure receiving region which is always perpendicular to a rotation tangential direction in a cross section perpendicular to the rotation axis. In friction stir processing, the stir probe is caused to rotate in a rotation direction B in which the normal direction of the pressure receiving surface is positive. According to this kind of rotating tool, as it has no shoulder, a joint width does not increase even when a stirring region is deep, and also, a plastic flow in a rotation direction is generated by a pressure receiving surface, so that it is possible to reduce the proportion of the plastic flow in the rotation axis direction, and thus possible to suppress an occurrence of burr.

Rotating tool for and method of friction stir welding

A refrigerant channel of a heatsink includes an upwardly inclined channel formed by a side wall for downstream side of a first protruding portion and a side wall for upstream side of a second protruding portion. The upwardly inclined channel directs a flow of the refrigerant toward a base portion of the fin and causes the refrigerant to flow into the fin region, because of which more refrigerant flows to the base portion than to a leading end portion of the fin, and a high heat dissipating performance is obtained. Also, the fin is a columnar body whose sectional form perpendicular to a central axis is a regular hexagon, has rounded portions in corner portions, and has tapers on side faces. Six fins are disposed neighboring one fin, and a distance between fins is constant. Because of this, the heat dissipating performance further improves, and pressure loss can be reduced.

A liquid coolant supplying header is configured on a central portion in the width direction between an upper portion heatsink and a partitioning plate, a liquid coolant discharging header is configured on a central portion in the width direction between a lower portion heatsink and the partitioning plate so as to be parallel to the liquid coolant supplying header, vertical flow channels are formed so as to pass through the partitioning plate vertically on two sides in the width direction so as to be parallel to the liquid coolant supplying header, a liquid coolant distributing structural body is disposed inside the liquid coolant supplying header, and an external shape of the liquid coolant distributing structural body is formed such that flow channel cross-sectional area of the liquid coolant supplying header becomes gradually smaller from an upstream end toward a downstream end.

Cooling apparatus having vertical flow channels

A fuel injection valve device is capable of thinning a nozzle hole plate and improving fuel spray characteristics by a construction for reducing stress concentration that occurs at the weld part of the nozzle hole plate. The fuel injection valve device includes: a nozzle having a fuel passage inside and in which a valve seat is formed at an end; a needle valve for opening and closing the fuel passage by coming in contact with and separating from the valve seat; and an nozzle hole plate that is disposed at the tip of the nozzle and injects a fuel in the fuel passage at the time of opening the needle valve. The nozzle hole plate and the nozzle are fixed by welding in a state of forming an even gap between them.

Fuel injection valve device

An electromagnetic valve can be reduced in size, and improved in the machinability and workability of a body thereof. A plunger () is arranged on an axis of a solenoid () for axial movement, and a body () with the plunger () slidably received therein is fixedly arranged in a housing (). A valve seat () is arranged in opposition to one end of the plunger () in such a manner that the one end of the plunger () is moved to contact with and separate from the valve seat (). The plunger () is urged toward the valve seat () by means of a spring (). The body () is formed with an engagement groove (), into which a caulking portion (), which is formed by bending or flexing the one end of the housing (), is engaged to integrally couple the body () and the housing () with each other.

Electromagnetic valve

In a proportional solenoid valve, a cylindrical valve seat member includes an input/output-side passage provided between an input port and a drain port and between an output port and the drain port, a seat portion provided in an end portion of the input/output-side passage, and a drain-side passage provided between the seat portion and the drain port. The drain-side passage is formed by exhaust passage holes whose number is an even number equal to four or more and which are arranged at regular intervals in the circumferential direction of the valve seat member.

Proportional solenoid valve and control method therefor

An intake air amount control apparatus for an engine is capable of stabilizing the controllability of a valve () as well as reducing the number of component parts required. A coil spring () includes a first spring portion () having a first end portion (), a second spring portion () having a second end portion (), a joint portion () that connects the first spring portion () and the second spring portion () with each other. The first end portion () of the first spring portion () and the second end portion () of the second spring portion () are attached to a body () through a movable member (), and the joint portion () is attached to a final spur gear ().

Intake air amount control apparatus for an engine

A high-pressure fuel supply system can reduce the generation of noise upon opening and closing of an electromagnetic valve. The electromagnetic valve ( ) of the high-pressure fuel supply system includes a body ( ), a plunger ( ) slidably received in the body ( ), a valve seat ( ) with which an end of the plunger is caused to move into and out of contact so that the valve seat is placed into fluid communication with a fuel pressurization chamber ( ) when the plunger is moved apart from the valve seat, a stopper ( ) for limiting the distance of separation of the plunger from the valve seat, and a spring ( ) for urging the plunger in a direction toward the valve seat. An elastic O ring ( ) is provided around the valve seat for absorbing collision sounds generated when the plunger collides with the valve seat.

High-pressure fuel supply system

The electromagnetic valve for use in a high pressure fuel supply apparatus includes an electromagnetic valve main body including a fuel passage to be connected between the high and low pressure sides of the fuel supply apparatus, a valve seat disposed in the fuel passage, a valve member disposed within the electromagnetic valve main body in such a manner that it is detached from and contacted with the valve seat to thereby open and close the fuel passage, and a solenoid coil for moving the valve member with respect to the valve seat. The electromagnetic valve is capable of maintaining the jet-out quantity of the fuel from the high pressure fuel supply apparatus at a given value.

Electromagnetic valve for high pressure fuel supply apparatus

A high-pressure fuel supply assembly includes a high-pressure fuel pump for pressurizing fuel from a low-pressure fuel intake passage and discharging high-pressure fuel into a high-pressure fuel discharge passage, a high-pressure damper disposed in the high-pressure fuel discharge passage for absorbing surges in the high-pressure fuel, a high-pressure regulator disposed in a branch passage branching from a branch portion of the high-pressure fuel discharge passage for adjusting the high-pressure fuel from the high-pressure damper to a predetermined pressure, and an orifice disposed in the high-pressure fuel discharge passage downstream from the branch portion for absorbing surges in the high-pressure fuel.

High-pressure fuel supply assembly

To improve the rigidity of diaphragms, a plurality of diaphragms of the same thickness and size are placed one upon another, the total thickness of the diaphragms is a value obtained by multiplying the thickness of the diaphragm by the number of diaphragms, and the peripheral portions of the diaphragms are sealed and supported by a high-pressure container.
