A hard coat film which comprises a substrate and a hard coat layer, wherein the hard coat layer is formed by applying on the substrate with a curable composition containing a photocurable substance and an oligomer type photopolymerization initiator and then curing by light irradiation to the applied curable composition. The hard coat film is excellent in the adhesion property between the hard coat layer and the substrate after heat treatment, and can restrain the gases generated in heat treatment.

Hard coat film

An anti-static hard coat film is easy to manufacture, has a high total light transmission, achieves favorable viewability for displayed images, and has a superior balance between an anti-static effect and a resistance to scratch. A hard coat layer made of an ionizing radiation-curable resin and an anti-static layer, which is about 0.03 to 2 &#x3bc;m thick and is made of ionizing radiation-curable resin that includes anti-static particles with an average particle diameter of about 0.01 to 2 &#x3bc;m, are formed in order on a base film, and the Taber abrasion resistance is set at 25 or below as measured in accordance with JIS K5400.

Anti-static hard coat film and method of manufacturing the same

A film for optical applications comprising (A) a hard coat layer which comprises a resin cured by an ionizing radiation, (B) a high refractivity layer I which comprises a resin cured by an ionizing radiation and a metal oxide and has a refractive index in a range of 1.70 to 1.95, (C) a high refractivity layer II which comprises a resin cured by an ionizing radiation and a metal oxide and has a refractive index in a range of 1.60 to 1.70 and (D) a low refractivity layer which comprises a siloxane-based polymer and has a refractive index in a range of 1.37 to 1.47, layers (A) to (D) having specific thicknesses and being successively laminated at least on one face of a substrate film. The film exhibits an excellent property for preventing reflection of light and excellent scratch resistance and can be produced at a low cost.

Film for optical applications

A film for optical applications comprising (A) a hard coat layer which comprises a metal oxide and a substance cured by heat or by an ionizing radiation and has a thickness in a range of 2 to 20 &#x3bc;m and (B) a low refractivity layer which comprises porous silica and a polysiloxane-based polymer and has a refractive index in a range of 1.30 to 1.45 and a thickness in a range of 40 to 200 nm, layers (A) and (B) being successively laminated at least on one face of a substrate film. The film exhibits an excellent property for preventing reflection of light and excellent scratch resistance and can be produced at a low cost.

A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is described. In addition, a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet that includes a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet and a release sheet that is removably attached to the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is described. The release sheet comprises a release sheet base and a releasing agent layer provided on the release sheet base. The releasing agent layer is substantially free of silicone compound. The base of the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet and the release sheet base are formed from a plastic film or a lint-free paper, and the count of generated particles having a diameter of 0.1 &mgr;m or more generated from the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet with the release sheet is equal to or less than 100 particles/liter when measured according to Test Method for the Measurement of Particle Generation from Sheet Materials determined by SEMI G67-0996.

A film for optical applications comprising (A) a hard coat layer which comprises a resin cured by an ionizing radiation, (B) a high refractivity layer which comprises a resin cured by an ionizing radiation and at least two metal oxides comprising tin oxide doped with antimony and has a refractive index in a range of 1.65 to 1.80 and (C) a low refractivity layer which comprises a siloxane-based polymer and has a refractive index in a range of 1.37 to 1.47, layers (A) to (D) each having a specific thickness and being successively laminated at least on one face of a substrate film. The film exhibits an excellent property for preventing reflection of light and excellent scratch resistance and can be produced at a low cost.

Very fine anti-glare hard coat film

An infrared shielding film comprising a transparent substrate film having, on one face thereof, at least an infrared shielding layer comprising a cured product of a coating layer which comprises (A) an ionizing radiation curing resin and (B) an infrared shielding agent comprising lanthanum in an amount of 0.1 to 20 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the ionizing radiation curing resin. The infrared shielding film maintains excellent transmission of visible light, effectively suppresses transmission of the sunlight and exhibits excellent scratch resistance, light resistance, durability and antifouling property.

A stirring device achieving high stirring efficiency and easy to wash and maintain, is provided. The stirring device includes a vertical cylindrical stirring vessel, a rotary shaft vertically extended within the stirring vessel for rotation, and a stirring vessel constituted of two or more basically rectangular vane plates vertically supported on the rotary shaft in symmetrical relation with each other with respect to the rotary shaft. On an upper portion of the stirring vane, a recess is formed for forming a cone about the rotary shaft when the stirring vane rotates. A lower end of the stirring vane is arranged in the vicinity of a bottom surface of the stirring vessel.

Disclosed is a photochromic composition comprising an organic photochromic compound and a specific tertiary amine compound which are dissolved or dispersed in a high-molecular compound. Also disclosed are a photochromic film composed of the above photochromic composition and a photochromic laminate having a photochromic layer composed of the above photochromic composition on a surface of a substrate.

Photochromic composition

A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet comprising a substrate and an adhesive composition which is coated on the surface of the substrate. The main components of the adhesive composition are (a) a copolymer comprising monomeric units of an acrylic ester, (b) monomeric units of a polar acrylic compound, (c) monomeric units of a high glass transition temperature (Tg) macromonomer having a Tg of 20.degree. C. or above, (d) monomeric units of a low Tg macromonomer having a Tg of below 20.degree. C. and (e) monomeric units of an oligomer having telechelic thiol functional groups. The pressure sensitive adhesive sheet has excellent adhesive strength, resistance against formation of blisters and removability upon heating.

Blister resistant pressure sensitive adhesive sheet

The pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the invention is free from the troubles of forming blisters due to the gas emission from the substrate surface to which the adhesive sheet is applied and bonded by using a unique pressure-sensitive adhesive to form the adhesive layer on a base sheet. The principal ingredient of the pressure-sensitive adhesive used in the present invention is a copolymer having a specified molecular weight and a specified glass transition temperature and composed of (a) from 50 to 85% by weight of a first monomeric moiety of an acrylic ester, e.g., 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, (b) from 1 to 30% by weight of a second monomeric moiety of an acrylic compound having a polar group, e.g., acrylic acid, and (c) from 5 to 40% by weight of a third monomeric moiety of a macromonomer having a polymeric molecular chain of styrene units and/or methyl methacrylate units and having a polymerizable functional group, e.g., methacryloyl group, at the molecular chain end.
