An industrial fabricis an industrial fabric in which an upper surface side fabric composed of upper surface side warps and upper surface side wefts and a lower surface side fabric composed of lower surface side warps and lower surface side wefts are bound to each other, wherein an upper surface side warpUb functions as an upper surface side binding yarn binding the upper surface side fabric and the lower surface side fabric, and a lower surface side warpLb functions as a lower surface side binding yarn binding the upper surface side fabric and the lower surface side fabric. The number of knuckles formed by the upper surface side warpUb in the upper surface side fabric is larger than the number of knuckles formed by the lower surface side warpLb in the upper surface side fabric.

Industrial fabric

Binding warps have first and second binding warps arranged vertically in a pair and a third binding warp forming knuckles passing above upper surface side wefts. Upper surface side warps include an upper surface side collapsing yarn forming a pair with the third binding warp. The upper surface side collapsing yarn passes below the wefts and collapses a part of the upper surface side obverse surface texture at a position where the third binding warp forms knuckles on the wefts. The pair formed by the first and second binding warps complement each other while the pair formed by the third binding warp and the upper surface side collapsing yarn complement each other. Thereby, the pair formed by the first and second binding warps and the pair formed by the third binding warp and the upper surface side collapsing yarn form the same weaving pattern for the wefts in a weave repeat.

Each of lower side wefts of an industrial two-layer fabric passes over three successive lower side warps and then under the remaining two or more lower side warps thereby forming a lower side weft design including a lower-side-weft long crimp. The lower side layer of the fabric is formed by arranging lower side wefts adjacent to each other while repeatedly shifting the weft design according to one of the following shift patterns: shifting by three warps; shifting by four warps; shifting by five warps; shifting by one warp and then four warps; shifting by three warps and then four warps; shifting by two warps and then five warps; shifting by one warp and then six warps; and shifting by one warp, four warps, five warps, and then four warps. The lower-side-weft long crimp of the lower side layer has a rectangular shape.

Industrial two-layer fabric

An industrial two-layer fabric having a lower surface structure excellent in water drainage property, fiber supporting property, rigidity and wear resistance, obtained by binding an upper layer fabric and a lower layer fabric, wherein each of lower surface side wefts has a design in which it passes over one lower surface side warp, passes under one lower surface side warp, passes over one lower surface side warp and then passes under five successive lower surface side warps, while lower surface side warps each has a design in which it passes over four successive lower surface side wefts, passes under one lower surface side weft, passes over three successive lower surface side wefts, passes under one lower surface side weft, passes over two successive lower surface side wefts, passes under one lower surface side weft, passes over three successive lower surface side wefts and then passes under one lower surface side weft.

In an industrial two-layer fabric, running surface side wefts constituting the running surface side layer each has a design in which the running surface side weft passes over a running surface side warp, passes under two successive running surface side warps, passes over a running surface side warp and passes under at least four successive running surface side warps, thereby forming a long crimp of the weft on the running surface side surface. A running surface side weft adjacent to the above-described weft or adjacent to the above-described weft with one weft sandwiched therebetween is arranged with a design obtained by shifting the design of the above-described weft by two running surface side warps. The design of the running surface side warps is formed of a portion passing under a running surface side weft and a portion passing over at least two running surface side wefts.

An industrial two-layer fabric comprises an upper layer fabric having upper surface side warps and upper surface side wefts and a lower layer fabric having lower surface side warps and lower surface side wefts. The upper layer fabric and the lower layer fabric are bound at least one spot in a repeating unit where an upper surface side warp weaves a lower surface side weft without weaving an upper surface side weft which should have been woven by the upper surface side warp based on the fabric structure, and where a lower surface side warp weaves the upper surface side weft which should have been woven by the upper surface side warp, without weaving the lower surface side weft which should have been woven by the lower surface side warp.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a fabric having superior surface property, fiber supporting property, wear resistance, water removing property, and rigidity. The fabric according to the present invention comprises an upper layer comprising an upper surface side warp, an upper surface side weft, an auxiliary weft binding yarn, and an auxiliary weft; and a running face layer disposed under the upper layer and comprising a running face side warp and running face side weft.

A ply warp two-ply weft papermaking fabric having auxiliary weft yarns incorporated in a papermaking side fabric thereof, which papermaking fabric includes (a) an at least 3-shaft papermaking side fabric consisting of papermaking side warps and papermaking side weft yarns, forming long crimps of warps on the papermaking side thereof, and having auxiliary weft yarns of a smaller diameter than the warps incorporated in the papermaking side weft yarns, (b) a weft wear type running side fabric consisting of running side warps and running side weft yarns and having the running surface thereof formed of long crimp of the weft yarns, and (c) binding yarns intersecting the papermaking side warps on the upper side thereof and intersecting the travelling face side warps on the lower side thereof thereby connecting the papermaking side fabric and the running side fabric.
