A document managing system which can detect the presence of inaccessible files and folders. In the document managing system, a file as a research object for which the right of access has been set is acquired, and a file user set for which the right of access to the research object has been set is acquired. A folder to which the research object belongs is acquired, and a folder user set for which the right of access to the folder has been set is acquired. If the intersection of the file user set and the folder user set is an empty set, it is determined that determines that there is no user who can access the research object.

An image input-output apparatus capable of recording information enabling events of image data items output by output jobs to be tracked, while suppressing load on a network and a server. If an executed job is an output job, a job event of the output job is recorded in association with a job event of an input job in which image data used in the output job is input. If the job event is of an output job, the job event of the input job associated with the job event of the output job is transmitted to a server together with the job event of the output job, whereas if the job event is of an input job, and image data input by the input job is not used in any other job, the job event of the input job is not transmitted to the server.

An image log recording system which is capable of optimizing image log transfer. A plurality of log recording agents generate image logs. An image processing server performs image processing on the image logs transferred from the log recording agents. The image logs subjected to image processing by the image processing server are cumulatively stored in a database. Each of the image recording agents receives from a management server transfer settings for transferring an image log to the image processing server, and transfers an image log to the image processing server according to the transfer settings. The management server monitors load on the image log recording system and changes the transfer settings based on the monitored system load.
