A reel to reel magnetic tape cassette having a tape guide adjacent the supply reel comprising a rotatable element and a guide adjacent the take up reel which is a non-rotatable element whereby frictional resistance of the tape is reduced at the unreeling side and loosening or slack of the tape during transport is minimized.

Magnetic tape cassette

A magnetic tape cassette having a tape guide coated with nickel-tin alloy plating on the surface which is in slide-contact with a magnetic tape.

A magnetic tape cassette includes a magnetic tape and two reels in a casing. The reel is formed by a reel substrate, a jaw and a tape clamping member. An exterior angle .alpha. between a prolonged line D.sub.1 of a contact surface of the reel substrate and an axial line E.sub.1 for dividing the tape clamping member into two half parts is less than 90 degrees.

A hub for magnetic tape having a recess formed in the peripheral part of the hub and a magnetic-tape clamp to be fitted into the recess comprises an upper rib having an outer surface with the same curvature as that of the hub; legs formed at both ends of the upper rib; projections extending outward from the legs to be fitted into the side wall grooves of the recess; and lower ribs extending inward from the legs to terminate in the vicinity of a convex portion formed in the central part of the recess bottom.

Hub for magnetic tape

A three-piece structure magnetic tape cassette comprises an upper plate, an intermediate frame and a lower plate wherein annular bosses having counter-sunk holes are formed in the upper plate and annular bosses having threaded portions are formed in the lower plate and a seat portion is formed at the intermediate portion in clearance holes of the intermediate frame so that the ends of the annular bosses are brought into contact with the seat portion when the annular bosses are inserted into the clearance holes, and the upper plate, the intermediate frame and the lower plate are connected together with tapping screws.

A tape pad for a tape cassette for continuously contacting a magnetic tape under pressure in a casing wherein the tape pad has a fitting hollow in which a supporting member non-rotatably mounted on the casing is inserted to support the tape pad.

Tape cassette

A tape cassette comprises a tape guide having a cylindrical surface formed by hard chromium plating or nickel plating. The tape guide is a cylindrical plate having a slit parallel to the axis. The cylindrical tape guide has a groove at one end of the guide and is fitted to a post having a projection mounted on a half-case under connecting the groove of the guide to the projection of the post to contact the tape with the surface formed by the hard chromium plating or nickel plating.
