A joint structure includes a first metallic material having a first projection, a second metallic material similar to and weldable to the first metallic material, and a different material having a first penetrating part and sandwiched between the first and second metallic materials, the different material being difficult to weld to the first and second metallic materials. The first projection is smaller than the first penetrating part and is spaced from the rim of the first penetrating part. The first projection is positioned in the first penetrating part and spaced from the second metallic material by a gap. The gap has a size of a predetermined percentage of the thickness of the first projection to which arc welding is applied. The first and second metallic materials are melted and joined together inside the first penetrating part to compress and fix the different material, so all three are fixed together.

Joint structure

A joint structure includes a first material (), a second material () weldable to the first material, and a third material () at least a portion of which being sandwiched between the first material and the second material, having a through opening portion at the sandwiched portion, and including a material that is difficult to be welded to both the first material and the second material, the first material and the second material welded the via through opening portion. At least one of the first material and the second material is provided with a protrusion () inserted in the through opening portion. A first gap () is provided between an inner peripheral surface of the through opening portion and the protrusion. A second gap () is provided between the first material and the second material, the second gap having a size depending on a plate thickness of the first material in a region corresponding to the protrusion. Under a condition in which the second gap has a size of greater than or equal to 0.1 mm but less than or equal to 40% of the plate thickness of the first material in the region, the first material and the second material are welded by emitting a laser beam from a side on which the first material is disposed.

A method of controlling arc welding with a consumable electrode includes repeating the following periods in sequence: a short-circuit welding period to perform short-circuit arc welding; a pulse welding period to perform pulse welding; and a cooling period in which the welding current output is zero.

Welding equipment for consumable electrode

A welding condition inputting equipment capable of setting the welding conditions such as welding current and welding voltage easily and securely is disclosed. The welding condition inputting equipment comprises an operating section for inputting the welding conditions, a determining section for selecting items, and a display section for displaying selected items. When the welding conditions are input, the operating section outputs the conditions to the determining section. When the conditions are input in the determining section, the determining section selects items relating to welding corresponding to the conditions, and outputs the items to the display section. When the items are input in the display section, the display section displays the items. The operating section specifically includes a dial, a switch, and a push-in dial switch integrally combining a dial rotation detecting part.

Welding condition inputting equipment

Comprising means for feeding a welding wire, means for feeding a pulse current between the welding wire and base metal, and means for controlling this pulse current feeding means, the control means controls the pulse current feeding means so as to flare up the welding wire upon arc starting, and then controls the pulse current feeding means until the pulse current becomes lower in frequency than the pulse frequency of the main welding current.

Pulse welding equipment and its control method

In a consumable electrode type arc welding method, when short circuit shift welding is conducted at the start of an arc in the process of pulse arc welding and also when an inclinations of a rise or fall is decreased in the case of starting an arc in the process of pulse welding and also when an inclination of a short circuit current is increased, short circuit, which irregularly occurs at the start of an arc, can be released in a short period of time and the arc can be stabilized early. When the generation of a magnetic arc blow is suppressed, it becomes possible to form proper welding beads. Due to the foregoing, the efficiency of welding work can be enhanced.
