A liquid crystal panel includes a pair of substrates, a seal part between the pair of substrates and in a non-display region to surround and seal the liquid crystal layer, a planarizing film and a second interlayer insulating film being insulating films on the array substrate across a display region and the non-display region, an alignment film on the array substrate closer to the liquid crystal layer than the planarizing film and the second interlayer insulating film are, the alignment film being disposed across the display region and the non-display region, and a defining part formed of the planarizing film and the second interlayer insulating film, which are insulating films, the defining part being disposed at a position overlapping with the seal part in the non-display region, to define an alignment film non-disposed region where the alignment film is not disposed.

Display panel

A scanning exposure device includes a stage that supports a substrate, wherein a space is provided between a stage surface and the substrate; a light source unit that radiates light to a light irradiation area that extends in one direction above the substrate; and a scanning device that moves one or both of the stage and the light source unit relatively in a scanning direction that intersects the one direction. The scanning device is provided with an acceleration zone from a position in which the stage and the light source unit are at a standstill to a position in which the substrate supported by the stage enters the light irradiation area. The stage comprises a light shielding member that covers the space between the stage surface and the substrate at an end part of the stage.

Scanning exposure device

An array board includes a glass substrate including a display area and a non-display area, an organic insulation film disposed over a range of the display area and the non-display area, an array board side alignment film disposed on the organic insulation film, a film forming area restricting portion disposed in the non-display area and recessed in a part of the surface of the organic insulation film, and an alignment film material storing portion disposed closer to the display area than the film forming area restricting portion in the non-display area and recessed in a part of the organic insulation film. An angle formed by at least a part of a surface of the alignment film material storing portion and a normal line of the glass substrate is greater than an angle formed by a side surface of the film forming area restricting portion and the normal line.

Display component and display device

A plunger for a syringe, in which a plunger rod can be prevented by a simple structure from unavoidably falling out of place. The plunger for a syringe includes the plunger rod and a gasket. The gasket is closed at its upper end and has an inner space, and an opening having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the inner space is provided in the lower end of the gasket. The plunger rod has a collar installed at the tip of the plunger rod. When the collar is positioned in the inner space of the gasket, the plunger rod and the gasket are freely movably fitted together without intimate contact between them.

A liquid crystal display panel () includes a pair of substrates arranged, facing each other, a liquid crystal layer provided between the pair of substrates, and a frame-like sealing member () configured to bond the pair of substrates with each other and enclose the liquid crystal layer. A cavity forming wall () is provided on one of the pair of substrates between the liquid crystal layer and the sealing member () and is configured to form a cavity region (C) therein by an upper end of the cavity forming wall contacting the other of the pair of substrates. The cavity region (C) is configured so that, when an excessive amount of a liquid crystal material which foims the liquid crystal layer is enclosed, the cavity forming wall is destroyed to cause a portion of the liquid crystal material to flow into the cavity region (C).

Liquid crystal display panel and method for manufacturing the same

Indwelling needle includes a cylindrical body, a needle having a sharp edge at a tip thereof, a cylindrical hub retaining proximal end of needle and moveable along main body, a protective cover moveable along main body and projecting from main body, and a spring elastically installed between hub and protective cover. First engaging portion of actuating lever is provided on body engaged with first projection of protective cover and second through-hole in hub to allow first retention mechanism to retain indwelling needle in a use state. First engaging portion is moved upward to release first retention mechanism. This separates protective cover and hub from each other under elastic force of spring. Protective cover and hub are thus retained in a housed state by second retention mechanism and third retention mechanism, respectively. This configuration reduces length of member contacting patient in the use state.

Indwelling needle

A liquid crystal display apparatus drives an active-matrix liquid crystal panel by the use of the line reversal driving method. To do so, a common driver AC-drives one of a pair of electrode in each of all the pixels of the liquid crystal panel. An adding circuit obtains the sum of a plurality of gradation components for deciding the gradations of the pixels in one of the columns in the liquid crystal panel at intervals of the predetermined horizontal period. A voltage setting portion in a source driver corrects a reference voltage difference &#x394;Vref on the basis of the sum at intervals of the horizontal period, divides the corrected reference voltage difference &#x394;Vrefa, decides a plurality of gradation voltages, and selects voltages to be applied to a plurality of data lines in the liquid crystal panel from among the gradation voltages based on the plurality of gradation components. The selected plurality of voltages are applied to the plurality of data lines.

Method of driving liquid crystal panel, and liquid crystal display apparatus

A display module of the present invention includes a liquid crystal panel driven by a driving signal in a column direction and a driving signal in a row direction; a source driver for supplying the driving signal in the column direction; a gate driver for supplying the driving signal in the row direction; a TCP type film provided with the source driver; a TCP type film provided with the gate driver; and a controller circuit for controlling the gate driver and the source driver, which is installed on the TCP type film together with the source driver or the gate driver. With this structure, the number of parts can be reduced, achieving miniaturization, weight reduction, and cost reduction.

Display module

A liquid crystal display apparatus drives an active-matrix liquid crystal panel by the use of the line reversal driving method. To do so, a common driver AC-drives one of a pair of electrode in each of all the pixels of the liquid crystal panel. An adding circuit obtains the sum of a plurality of gradation components for deciding the gradations of the pixels in one of the columns in the liquid crystal panel at intervals of the predetermined horizontal period. A voltage setting portion in a source driver corrects a reference voltage difference Vref on the basis of the sum at intervals of the horizontal period, divides the corrected reference voltage difference Vrefa, decides a plurality of gradation voltages, and selects voltages to be applied to a plurality of data lines in the liquid crystal panel from among the gradation voltages based on the plurality of gradation components. The selected plurality of voltages are applied to the plurality of data lines.

A sample and hold circuit is arranged to have a common input bus line and a plurality of combinations of analog switches and capacitors connected to the command input bus line. The sample and hold circuit includes as features a signal feeding unit for sequentially feeding a sampling control signal to the analog switches and a preventing unit for preventing the plurality of analog switches from being made conductive at one time because of the delay of the sampling control signal.

Sample and hold circuit

An automatic dialing apparatus stores in a RAM an area code number, a local code number and a plurality of subscribers' telephone numbers in the area of the local code number thereof with hyphens for separating these numbers and telephone numbers from each other. It further displays a series of telephone numbers on a display portion in the apparatus in response to operation of a search key. When a local key is operated, a local code mark is detected, a local code number of digits higher than the local code mark is cancelled, and thus the telephone numbers of digits lower than the local code mark are displayed. Each time the local key is operated, the hyphens in the telephone numbers are searched for to be displayed. If a dial out key is operated when a desired telephone number is displayed, a tone signal corresponding to the desired telephone number is generated. Therefore, an arbitrary number can be selected from a series of numbers.

Automatic dialing apparatus and method of automatic dialing

An integrated circuit which can be operated in a test mode includes a test input terminal for instructing the switching between an actual use mode and a test mode, a plurality of input terminals, an AND gate for performing logic operations on the input signals from the input terminals, a plurality of flip-flops for storing each of the input signals from the remaining plurality of input terminals by using the outpout of the AND gate as a timing signal, a decoder for producing a test mode designating signal to select one test mode from a plurality of test modes in response to each of the outputs of the flip-flops, and a control circuit for operating a processing circuit in the test mode designated by the test mode designating signal in response to the test mode setting signal from the test input and the test mode designating signal from the decoder. The configuration of this circuit permits the testing of the signals from the output terminals of the integrated circuit without excessively increasing the number of input terminals necessary for the test mode.
