A branch connector capable of maintaining a sealing state for cables with different specifications is provided. A branch connector () configured to electrically connect cables together by cutting insulating sheaths in press-contact grooves includes a pair of first split housing () and a second split housing () that are coupled together via a connecting portion and can open and close, first holding portions () that are provided to the first split housing () and configured to hold the cables, and second holding portions () that are provided to the second split housing () and configured to hold the cables. In a state in which the first split housing () and the second split housing () are fitted together, the first holding portions () and the second holding portions () are in different locations from each other with respect to an extending direction of the cables and a direction perpendicular to the extending direction.

Branch connector

Provided is a branch connector that can maintain waterproofness with respect to an individual product into which a filler is filled. The branch connector includes a pair of split housings () connected by connecting portions () and fitted into each other and a filler () filled into the pair of split housings (). The surface shape of the filler () is formed into the pair of split housings () such that it corresponds to an inner surface shape of the pair of split housings ().

A branch connector is capable of preventing cable breakage when subjected to vibration or shock. The branch connector () includes a pair of split housings capable of opening and closing with respect to each other, a relay contact () supported by the split housings and connecting electrically to a cable guided by the split housings in a closed state, and a cable holder, formed in the split housings to hold the cable, including a tight cable holder on the side closer to the relay contact () to hold the cable so that movement of the cable in a radial direction is relatively smaller when the split housings are in the closed state and a loose cable holder on the side farther from the relay contact () to hold the cable so that movement of the cable in a radial direction is relatively larger when the split housings are in the closed state.

Provided is a branch connector capable of achieving desired waterproofing functionality by supporting the waterproofing gel in a compressing manner, while stably maintaining a closed state by reducing repulsive force acting in an opening direction of a pair of split housings. The pair of split housings (a first split housing () and a second split housing ()) includes a gel-escaping space (Z), formed around a gel-supporting space (Y), for accommodating portions of waterproofing gels (a first waterproofing gel () and a second waterproofing gel ()) pushed out of the gel-supporting space (Y).
