A vehicle authentication apparatus includes first and second communication devices, first and second area determination devices, and a control execution device. The first communication device specifies a first area as a communication area. The second communication device specifies a second area as the communication area. The first area determination device determines whether the mobile devices are present at the first area based on a communication status of the first communication device with the mobile devices. The second area determination device determines whether at least one of mobile devices is present at the second area based on a communication status of the second communication device with the mobile devices. The control execution device executes predetermined vehicle control in response to determining no mobile devices being present at the first area; and determining at least one of the mobile devices being present at the second area.

Vehicle authentication apparatus

An authentication device including: a processor; a first communication section installed at a vehicle and configured to perform first wireless communication with a terminal; and a plurality of second communication sections installed at the vehicle and configured to perform second wireless communication with the terminal, the processor being configured to: compute a distance and an angle of a position of the terminal with respect to the first communication section based on the first wireless communication of the first communication section with the terminal; cause a second communication section that, out of the plurality of second communication sections, corresponds to the computed angle, to execute the second wireless communication with the terminal; and determine, based on the executed second wireless communication and the computed distance, whether or not the terminal is present in an area corresponding to the second communication section executing the second wireless communication.

A communication apparatus executes authentication via wireless communication with a mobile device and, based on an authentication process, controls execution of a vehicle operation requested by a user. The communication apparatus includes a detection unit configured to detect closure of a door of a vehicle, an authentication processing unit configured to determine, in response to detection of the closure of the door by the detection unit, whether a specific mobile device is inside the vehicle by executing a first authentication process corresponding to a vehicle operation for which a highest security is set, among a plurality of vehicle operations that can be requested by the user, and an execution unit configured to execute, when the authentication processing unit has determined that the specific mobile device is inside the vehicle, a requested vehicle operation requestable from an inside of the vehicle and included in the plurality of vehicle operations.

Communication apparatus and communication method

A terminal performs communication with an in-vehicle device to control a vehicle. The terminal includes a controller configured to switch and set a plurality of operation modes, and a vibration detection unit configured to detect vibration of the terminal. The operation modes include a first mode, a second mode different from the first mode, and a third mode where communication with the in-vehicle device is more restricted than in the first mode and the second mode. The controller is configured to, when the first mode is executed, in a case where vibration is not detected in the vibration detection unit for a predetermined time, switch the operation mode to the third mode, and when the second mode is executed, in a case where vibration is not detected in the vibration detection unit for a time longer than the predetermined time, switch the operation mode to the third mode.

Portable device and vehicle

A vehicle control device is configured to be connected to an antenna and to a sensor by a common wire. The vehicle control device includes an electronic control unit configured to perform a determination process of determining a vehicle operation corresponding to a signal received from the sensor, determine whether the determination process is completed, and transmit a drive signal to the antenna after determining that the determination process is completed and upon the vehicle operation being determined, the drive signal being transmitted to the antenna such that the antenna transmits a radio signal.

Vehicle control device

An in-vehicle communication device includes a transmission controller configured to perform control so that a first signal is transmitted from outside and a predetermined second signal is transmitted from outside and inside, after the transmission of the first signal, and a determination unit configured to determine whether the terminal device is present outside or inside based on a first response signal that is transmitted from the terminal device after the transmission of the second signal. In-vehicle communication device and communication method

Provided is a vehicle control system that performs detection and authentication of an electronic key being present in a detection range on a periphery of a vehicle, on the basis of polling performed by an on-vehicle apparatus. Any one of the on-vehicle apparatus and a first electronic key includes: a determination section configured to determine whether or not communication, between the on-vehicle apparatus and the first electronic key, in which the first electronic key returns a signal in response to a signal transmitted from the on-vehicle apparatus is continuously performed for not less than a predetermined time period; and a first processing section configured to restrict a response, by the first electronic key, to a first polling signal transmitted from the on-vehicle apparatus, when the determination section has determined that the communication is continuously performed for not less than the predetermined time period.

Vehicle control system

A vehicle control device configured to perform transmission of a drive signal for driving an antenna and reception of a detection signal from a sensor detection unit configured to detect a user operation by common wire, and a controller configured to control the antenna driving unit to transmit the drive signal. The controller is configured to determine whether the determination process is being performed by the sensor detection signal determination unit each when the antenna driving unit transmits the drive signal. The controller is configured to cause the antenna driving unit to transmit the drive signal after the sensor detection signal determination unit finishes the determination process in a case where the controller determines that the determination process is being performed by the sensor detection signal determination unit.

A contact sensing device includes: a first electrode and a second electrode facing each other, a drive detection circuit of an electrostatic capacitance type, a first switching circuit that implements switching between connection and disconnection between the first electrode and ground, and a second switching circuit that implements switching between connection and disconnection between the first electrode and the second electrode. The drive detection circuit implements switching between a first state and a second state and detects an electrostatic capacitance change in the first state and an electrostatic capacitance change in the second state.

Contact sensing device

A wireless communication system includes an in-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle; and a portable device that can be carried by a user. The in-vehicle device includes a first sending unit configured to intermittently and wirelessly send an identification code of the vehicle or the in-vehicle device; and a detection unit configured to detect a presence of the portable device by receiving a response signal wirelessly sent from the portable device. The portable device includes a receiving antenna configured to receive the identification code; a first verification unit configured to verify the identification code, received by the receiving antenna, with a code registered in the portable device; and a sending control unit configured to wirelessly send the response signal if the verification by the first verification unit is successful and not to send the response signal if the verification by the first verification unit is not successful.

Wireless communication system

A smart key system includes a first transmitting unit, a first receiving unit, and a certification unit that are mounted on a vehicle, and a second receiving unit and a second transmitting unit that are mounted on a portable device. The certification unit performs certification processing of the portable device when the first receiving unit has received a reply signal. The first transmitting unit transmits the polling signal at a transmission timing that is later or earlier than a transmission timing based on the polling signal before the predetermined manipulation is performed, by a predetermined time shorter than a predetermined transmission cycle, when the predetermined manipulation has been performed in a situation where the certification unit does not certify the portable device.

Smart key system

A vehicular control device includes: a transmitter section that transmits a request signal to an electronic key according to an input operation; a receiver section that receives a response signal from the electronic key; a verification section that performs verification of the electronic key on the basis of the response signal; a determination section that determines that an abnormal state occurs, when the receiver section cannot receive the response signal until a first time or when the receiver section receives the response signal until the first time and the verification section fails in verification based on the response signal, after the transmitter section has transmitted the request signal; and a control section that prohibits, when the determination section determines that an abnormal state occurs, a vehicle operation until a second time passes after the determination, and allows the vehicle operation after the second time has passed.
