A negative sheet (1) for storing piece negatives (10) has reorder information recording sections (6) formed thereon for recording reorder information on the piece negatives (10), respectively. A printer/processor (100) determines additional printing conditions for image frames (10a) to be additionally printed, based on the reorder information read by a detector (93) from the reorder information recording sections (6) of the negative sheet (1) fed to the printer/processor (100). The piece negatives (10) to be additionally printed are drawn out of the negative sheet (1), and the image frames (10a) are printed on printing paper with the additional printing conditions determined.

Reorder processing system

A photographic processing system is disclosed. The system includes a bar-code reader for reading processing information of a photographic film, a sorter station for sorting the film in accordance with the processing information read from the film, a photographic processing apparatus for effecting a photographic processing operation in accordance with the processing information and a conveying device for conveying the film sorted at the sorter station to the photographic processing apparatus.

A photographic printing and developing apparatus includes an exposure section in which a standard exposure is effected on a photosensitive material under predetermined conditions in a manner similar to that for preparing a conventional control strip. The apparatus further includes a device for measuring the density of the developed photosensitive material, and a device for displaying the condition of the processing solution which is determined based on the measured density. A negative film is prepared for the standard exposure. The apparatus is provided with a control section which selectively uses different light sources for ordinary printing and for the standard exposure. The control section reads in the measured density of the photosensitive material after the developing process, and calculates the condition of the processing solution based on the measured density. It is judged whether or not the condition of the processing solution is within a usable range, and the results of judgment are displayed.

Photographic printing and developing apparatus

A photo-printing apparatus is provided which includes a projection exposure device for projection-exposing an image formed on a film, digital exposure device for exposing a digital image, a reader for reading print size data and image data of one roll of film, and a controller for calculating a digital exposure position on the basis of the print size data and image data read by the reader and conveying a photosensitive material to the digital exposure position, whereby a series of printing operations of the projection exposure device is achieved in parallel with a series of digital printing operations of the digital exposure device.

A film developing apparatus includes an exposure section for effecting a standard exposure on a photosensitive film under a predetermined condition in a manner similar to that for exposing a control strip. The apparatus further includes a transfer path for transferring the exposed film for development, a densitometer for measuring the density of the developed film, and a device for displaying the condition of the processing solution which is determined based on the measured density. The standard exposure is effected on an unexposed film which is specially provided for the standard exposure, or on a part of an ordinary film with which pictures has been taken. The plural conditions may be set for the density measurement and for the standard exposure. The film developing apparatus is provided with a sensor for detecting the kind of a film to be exposed, and for selecting conditions based on the kind of the film.

Film developing apparatus

A new method of making it possible to quickly and easily determine the optimum exposure conditions for a photographic color printer is disclosed. The method is performed by way of the steps of preparing a plurality of test prints under different exposure condition using a standard negative film, measuring optical density for each of color components on the test prints, comparing their optical density with that of corresponding color component on a standard print, detecting change in optical density per unit positional change of correction key on each of the test prints with respect to each of color components, and determining corrective value required for correcting density difference between each of test prints and standard print with reference to the above change in optical density per unit positional change of correction key. The color printer includes four lines of exposure correction keys comprising density keys, yellow keys, magenta keys and cyan keys and an exposure condition for test prints is determined such that one of exposure condition correction keys selected from the four lines is a correction key ranked above or below normal keys and all other keys are normal keys.

An automatic film retriever comprising a first belt-like retriever plate of resilient material which is moved forward or backward in a desired order by a driving motor and which a second retriever plate arranged below the lower surface of the first retriever plate and having a part folded downward at a leading end thereof to be inserted into the cartridge, a torque motor for rotating the spool of the cartridge either in a clockwise or in a counterclockwise direction, a sound sensor for sensing a sound which is generated when the free end of the film is moved past said folded part upon rotation of the spool in such a direction as the film is wound into the cartridge, and an infrared rays sensor for determining if the free end of the film is pulled through the film retrieving opening of the cartridge or not, at first the first retriever plate being inserted into the cartridge, the spool being rotated in a film winding direction, the rotation of the spool being simultaneously stopped with a sensing of said sound, then the spool being rotated in an opposite direction to unroll the film, thereafter the second retriever plate being inserted into the cartridge, the free end of the film being held between the first retriever plate and the second retriever plate, the driving motor being rotated in an opposite direction, both retriever plates being moved backward and thus the free end of the film being pulled out of the cartridge.
