Provided is an abrasion-resistant steel plate excellent in both abrasion resistance and wide bending workability. An abrasion-resistant steel plate comprises a specific chemical composition, wherein a volume fraction of martensite at a depth of 1 mm from a surface of the abrasion-resistant steel plate is 90% or more, hardness at a depth of 1 mm from the surface is 500 HBW 10/3000 to 650 HBW 10/3000 in Brinell hardness, and a transverse direction hardness difference is 30Hv10 or less in Vickers hardness, the transverse direction hardness difference being defined as a difference in the hardness at a depth of 1 mm from the surface between two points adjacent at intervals of 10 mm in a transverse direction of the abrasion-resistant steel plate.

Abrasion-resistant steel plate and method of producing abrasion-resistant steel plate

Provided is an abrasion-resistant steel plate excellent in both abrasion resistance and wide bending workability. An abrasion-resistant steel plate comprises a specific chemical composition, wherein a volume fraction of martensite at a depth of 1 mm from a surface of the abrasion-resistant steel plate is 90% or more, a number density of TiC precipitates of 0.5 μm or more in equivalent circular diameter at a depth of 1 mm from the surface is 400/mmor more, hardness at a depth of 1 mm from the surface is 360 HBW 10/3000 or more in Brinell hardness, and a transverse direction hardness difference is 30Hv10 or less in Vickers hardness, the transverse direction hardness difference being defined as a difference in the hardness at a depth of 1 mm from the surface between two points adjacent at intervals of 10 mm in a transverse direction of the abrasion-resistant steel plate.

The steel plate has a specific chemical composition, and a microstructure where a volume fraction of martensite at a depth of 1 mm from a surface of the steel plate is 95% or more, and at a depth of 1 mm from a surface of the steel plate, a Vickers hardness at 400° C. is 288 or more, and a Brinell hardness at 25° C. is 360 HBW10/3000 to 490 HBW10/3000.

Wear-resistant steel plate and method for producing same

Provided is a high-Mn steel having excellent low-temperature toughness and excellent surface characteristics. High-Mn steel and method of producing same

The method for manufacturing a high-manganese steel cast slab according to the present invention includes manufacturing a cast slab by continuously casting a molten high-manganese steel having a specific chemical composition. In the manufacture, in a continuous-casting machine or during transportation before subsequent charging into a heating furnace for hot rolling, a processing strain is applied to the cast slab having a surface temperature of 600&#xb0; C. or higher and 1100&#xb0; C. or lower in such an amount that a processing strain amount calculated by a certain formula is 3.0% or more and 10.0% or less.

High toughness and high tensile strength thick steel plate and production method therefor

A steel plate has excellent strength and toughness in a mid-thickness part thereof, despite having a plate thickness of 100 mm or greater. The steel plate has a chemical composition containing specific amounts of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Ni, Al, N, B, and O, with the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, and having an equivalent carbon content Ceqof 0.65 or greater. The thick steel plate has a specific chemical composition and includes a microstructure having, throughout an entire region in the plate thickness direction, an average prior austenite grain size of not more than 50 &#x3bc;m and a martensite and/or bainite phase area fraction of not less than 80%. A continuously cast slab having the specific chemical composition is heated to 1200&#xb0; C. to 1350&#xb0; C., hot worked with a strain rate of not more than 3/s and a cumulative working reduction of not less than 15%, and thereafter hot rolled and heat treated.

Thick, tough, high tensile strength steel plate and production method therefor

A high-tensile steel plate has a chemical composition containing, by mass, specific amounts of C, Mn, Si, P, S, Al, Ni, B, N, one or more elements selected from Cr, Mo, V, Cu, Ti, and Ca as needed, Ceq&#x2264;0.80, and a center-segregation zone hardness index HCS satisfying 5.5[C]+15[P]+0.90[Mn]+0.12[Ni]+0.53[Mo]&#x2264;2.5. The hardness of a center-segregation zone satisfies HV/HV&#x2264;1.35+0.006/C&#x2212;t/750. A steel having the above-described chemical composition is subjected to hot rolling at a specific slab-heating temperature at a specific rolling reduction ratio, subsequently reheated, cooled at a cooling rate of 0.3&#xb0; C./s or more until the temperature of a central portion in a plate-thickness direction reaches 350&#xb0; C. or less, and tempered to a specific temperature range.

High-tensile steel plate giving welding heat-affected zone with excellent low-temperature toughness, and process for producing same

The present invention provides a high tensile strength steel plate having a chemical composition containing, in percent by mass, 0.03% to 0.12% of C, 0.01% to 0.30% of Si, 0.5% to 1.95% of Mn, 0.008% or less of P, 0.005% or less of S, 0.015% to 0.06% of Al, 0.011% to 0.05% of Nb, 0.005% to 0.02% of Ti, 0.001% to 0.006% of N, 0.0005% to 0.003% of Ca, optionally, one or two or more of Cr, Mo, V, Cu, and Ni, in which Ceq is 0.44 or less, Ti/N is 1.5 to 3.5, and parameter formulas composed of specific elements for controlling the sulfide morphology and the degree of center segregation in the steel are satisfied, and the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, in which the hardness of the center segregation area of the steel sheet is further specified.
