An electronic apparatus includes a security storage unit, a security information acquisition unit, a calculation unit, a determination unit, a notification unit, and an operation control unit. The security storage unit is configured to store a plurality of securities together with respective security levels associated with the securities. The security information acquisition unit is configured to acquire security information concerning the apparatus. The calculation unit is configured to calculate a total of the security level or levels of the security or securities applied to the apparatus, using the security levels of the securities stored in the security storage unit. The determination unit is configured to determine whether or not the calculated total has reached a predetermined threshold.

The active vibration-isolating device of the invention is used for preventing vibrations due to ground motions or running of an automobile from being propagated to a platform which is disposed in, for example, a semiconductor device factory or a laser device factory, and on which various kinds of equipment are to be mounted, and also from causing the platform to vibrate. The device has: an air spring which elastically supports a platform; a piston-like member which abuts against and supports the platform; plural piezoelectric actuators which can be externally controlled; a working fluid such as an aqueous solution of ethylene glycol which transmits driving displacements of the piezoelectric actuators to the piston-like member via piston members which are respectively fixed to ends of the piezoelectric actuators in a driving direction x; and a fluid path in which the working fluid is hermetically filled. The load of equipment mounted on the platform is shared by the air spring and the piston-like member, thereby enabling the spring rate to be reduced. Therefore, the resonance frequency can be set lower. As a result, vibration-isolating performance and vibration-damping performance can be surely adequately exerted on vibrations in a wide frequency range including a low-frequency region, and a wide load range.

A Centronics type interface comprising a switching circuit selectively outputting one of two input signals having a timing relationship such that only during the time one input signal is active, the other input signal is active according to the state of a select signal, a pulse generating circuit outputting a signal for a predetermined time from the rising edge of a signal outputted from the switching circuit, and a signal selecting circuit outputting one of the other input signals and a signal outputted from the pulse generating circuit, which can hold one input signal and the signal outputted from the signal selecting circuit in a desired timing relationship.

A method for producing character patterns by planting a bit pattern of a specified character into a bit map memory. The character-bit pattern corresponding to each specified character is read out of a storage region in a font memory. The storage region is composed of a plurality of regions each of which stores the smallest possible character-bits for the individual pattern to be planted.

A laser recording apparatus has an image control circuit which allows for vertical or horizontal straight lines to be printed in spaces between lines without increasing the capacity of the memory region of the memory means of the apparatus. The image control circuit includes memory for storing character data, character patterning circuitry for converting the character data into character patterns which have memory regions for storing character data, control circuitry for reading character data stored in the peripheral portions of the memory regions to read such character data as straight lines in the spaces between character patterns and a central processing unit to control the various circuitry.

Laser recording apparatus

A document reading device comprising a document stand having a document placing surface and an optical reading means for optically reading the surface of a document placed on the document placing surface. The device further comprises a guide member defining a guide passage extending in a direction toward and away from the document placing surface, an oscillating member mounted such that its one end can reciprocate freely along the document placing surface in a predetermined scanning direction and in a direction opposite to it and the other end can freely reciprocate along the guide passage, and a driving source for oscillating the oscillating member which is capable of moving said one end of the oscillating member at a substantially constant speed in the scanning direction. The optical reading means is provided in the oscillating member. While said one end of the oscillating member is moved in the scanning direction at said substantially constant speed, the optical distance between the surface of the document placed on the document placing surface and the optical reading means is maintained substantially constant, and the optical reading means scans the surface of the document.

Document reading device

A recording apparatus has a printer mechanism for printing images successively on sheets of copying paper, and an image control circuit for delivering image information controllably to the printer mechanism so as to enable the latter to print the images successively. The image control circuit includes a plurality of page memories each for storing image information per single page, a first changeover switch for writing image information selectively into the page memories, and a second changeover switch for reading image information selectively from the page memories. When a sheet of copying paper is jammed in the printer mechanism, a microcomputer system controls the second changeover switch to select a switching mode to read an item of image information out of one of the page memories which stores the item of information to be printed on the jammed sheet of copying paper, for thereby allowing the image to be printed in a shorter period of time after paper jam clearance.
