An elastic member is an elastic member formed of a wire having a cross section that is substantially circular, the cross section being orthogonal to a longitudinal direction, and the elastic member being expandable and contractible in a predetermined direction; and including: a first alloy portion that is made of an aluminum alloy having a tensile strength larger than 950 MPa and equal to or less than 1100 MPa at room temperature; and a second alloy portion configured to cover the first alloy portion, the second alloy portion having a thickness in a radial direction smaller than a radius of the first alloy portion, and being made of an aluminum alloy having a tensile strength of 100 MPa to 650 MPa at room temperature.

A connector that includes a male terminal which has a conductive property and a tip portion of which is formed in a bar shape, and includes a coil spring formed of a conductive wire rod with an inner diameter smaller than a diameter of the tip portion of the male terminal and that linearly extends at an end portion at which the male terminal is inserted. The male terminal is inserted into the coil spring while a force that expands an inner diameter of at least a vicinity of the end portion is applied to an extending portion, and thereafter fitted to the coil spring by releasing the force.

Connector

A connection terminal includes a first contact member that has a conductive property, that has an approximately plate shape, and that includes a tip portion, a tip of which is sharply pointed; a base end portion, a width of which is less than a width of the tip portion and which extends from a base end of the tip portion; and a protrusion protruding in a direction perpendicular to one plane of the base end portion. The connection terminal also includes a second contact member that has a conductive property, that has an approximately plate shape, and that includes a tip portion, a tip of which is sharply pointed; and a base end portion, a width of which is less than a width of the tip portion and which extends from a base end of the tip portion. The second contact member slides against the protrusion in a direction in which the base end portion extends. The connection terminal also includes a coil spring that surrounds the base end portions and biases the first contact member and the second contact member toward the tip portions sides, respectively.

Connection terminal

A connecting terminal, a semiconductor package, a wiring board, a connector, and a microcontactor that can achieve a stable contact with a contact target are provided. To achieve the object and to establish an electrical connection to a contact target by making a physical contact with the contact target, there are provided a plurality of conductive terminal-forming members each having a terminal portion, which is extended in a band shape and at least a part of a surface of which forms a curved surface. Each terminal portion is configured so that a part of which is laminated on a part of at least one terminal portion in a thickness direction. All the terminal portions may be laminated at respective tip portions in the thickness direction.

Connecting terminals with conductive terminal-forming members having terminal portions extending in different directions

A probe unit includes: large diameter probes; small diameter probes; a large-diameter probe holder having large hole portions which individually hold the large diameter probes, and reception hole portions which have diameters smaller than those of the large hole portions, communicate with the large hole portions, and receive end portions of the small diameter probes so that the end portions come into contact with the large diameter; and a small-diameter probe holder probes having small hole portions which individually hold the small diameter probes. The central axes of the large hole portion and the small hole portion that communicate with each other are separated from each other, and the small hole portions include two small hole portions which are adjacent to each other and of which central axes are separated from each other by a distance shorter than a distance between the central axes of two large hole portions that are corresponding to the two small hole portions.

A method for manufacturing a conductive contact holder includes forming, from an insulating material, a holder member for holding a plurality of conductive contacts; forming, from a conductive material, a substrate having a hollow portion to which the holder member can be fitted; and fixing the holder member formed from the insulating material by fitting the substrate into the hollow portion of the substrate formed from the conductive material.

A conductive contact holder includes a holder substrate and a holding member. The holder substrate is made of a conductive material and has an opening for holding a conductive contact for inputting and outputting a signal to and from a circuit structure. The holding member is formed by filling the opening with an insulating material, smoothing the surface of the insulating material, and forming a hole through the insulating material for inserting the conductive contact.

A method for manufacturing a conductive contact holder includes forming, from a conductive material, a substrate having a hollow portion to which a holder member for holding a plurality of conductive contacts can be fitted; fixing the substrate formed from the conductive material and an insulating member by fitting the substrate and the insulating member into the hollow portion of the substrate, the insulating member being a raw material of the holder member; polishing a surface of the fixed holder member and a surface of the substrate adjoining the surface so as to make the surfaces smooth; and forming a plurality of holder holes for containing the conductive contacts, respectively, the holder holes penetrating the holder member, the surface of which is polished. The fixing includes filling an insulating adhesive between the holder member and the substrate.

Method for manufacturing conductive contact holder

In order to make a conductive contact that is appropriate for fine pitching, without using a lead wire whose diameter is needlessly thin, a compressed coil spring and the shells and of needle-like elements and that are connected to the two ends of the coil are accepted into a through hole in an intermediate-layer member that is laminated with three layers in an axial direction. A holding hole is formed in a wiring plate that is laminated on the top face of an upper-layer member , and an approximately circular flat part that is formed at the end of a signal-transmitting lead wire is accepted in the holding hole of the wiring plate , and extraction of the flat part from the holding hole is prevented by making the lead-wire insertion hole narrower in diameter than the holding hole . Extraction of the flat part can be prevented by simple processing such that a flat-formed part is formed at one end of the signal-transmitting lead wire that connects with an outside circuit . In addition, the signal-transmitting lead wire does not have to be needlessly thin (i.e., it can be as thick as is necessary to transmit the signal), because a pipe-shaped connector does not need to be used, and that prevents an increase in the lead-wire resistance and makes possible fine pitching.
