A sliding member for vehicular suspension includes a wear resistant layer having appropriate mechanical strength and high designability on its outer peripheral sliding face and a method for producing the same. On an outer peripheral sliding face of the sliding member for vehicular suspension, a colored wear resistant layer formed by an ion plating method and having a film thickness of 0.75 &#x3bc;m or more and 10 &#x3bc;m or less is included; and in the wear resistant layer, a dark blue titanium oxide layer, a titanium intermediate layer, and a colored titanium oxide layer are laminated in this order from the inner peripheral side toward the outer peripheral side.

A diaphragm unit detachably attached to a damper body, includes: a cylinder in which a liquid is sealed; a piston rod having a piston sliding inside the cylinder on one end side of the piston rod, in which other end side of the piston rod is extended to an outside of the cylinder; and a rod guide having a bottomed cylindrical shape wherein an insertion opening into which the piston rod is inserted is provided at a bottom portion of the rod guide, the rod guide being fixed to a side of an opening of the cylinder into which the piston is inserted to thereby make the piston rod be slidably inserted in a liquid tight manner, the diaphragm unit further comprising: an end member; an air seal; a rod side member; an annular bump rubber; and a tubular diaphragm, as defined herein.

Diaphragm unit and suspension

An reaction force adjustment member is attached to a suspension including a cylinder, a piston rod which has a piston at one end thereof and which is inserted into the cylinder together with the piston, and a diaphragm which has one end fixed to the cylinder and the other end fixed to the other end of the piston rod and which forms an air chamber around at least the piston rod. The reaction force adjustment member includes a cylindrical member which is provided on an outer circumference of the cylinder surrounded by the diaphragm when the suspension is extended and compressed. An outer circumference surface of the cylindrical member has an uneven surface.

Suspension

A pressure shock absorber includes: a spring portion used for a vehicle suspension; a hydraulic jack portion which can adjust a preload of the spring portion; and a connecting portion through which a hydraulic pressure source supplying hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic jack portion is connected to the hydraulic jack portion, in which the connecting portion can be connected to and separated from the hydraulic pressure source.

Pressure shock absorber and vehicle suspension including the same

A front fork in which a stroke amount of a spring leg that relies on an air spring can be detected precisely, wherein pressure leaks in the spring leg are detectable. The front fork has: a guide cylinder that extends from one of a vehicle body-side tube or an axle-side tube that make up a spring leg; a piston mounted to the leading end of a guide rod extending from the other one of the tubes; an inner airspring chamber in the interior of the guide cylinder; an outer airspring chamber, outward of the inner airspring chamber, in the interior of the vehicle body-side tube and the axle-side tube; first and second detectors for detecting pressure and temperature in the outer airspring chamber the inner airspring chamber, respectively; and stroke detection compensator for detecting a stroke amount on the basis of outputs of the first and second detectors.
