A gear transmission comprises a crankshaft that eccentrically rotates one of an internal gear and an external gear. A first gear is attached to one end of the crankshaft. A ring gear having internal teeth meshes with the first gear. An intermediate gear meshes with external teeth of the ring gear. A second gear is attached to one end of an output shaft of a motor and meshes with the intermediate gear. The motor and the crankshaft are positioned, relative to the intermediate gear, on the same side in the axial direction of the gear transmission.

Gear transmission and photovoltaic power-generating apparatus using the gear transmission

A gear transmission includes an eccentric-oscillating-type first reduction gear unit having a first internal gear, a first crankshaft with at least one first eccentric body defined thereon, a first input gear fixed to the first crankshaft and a first output member, as well as an eccentric-oscillating-type second reduction gear unit disposed coaxially with the first reduction gear unit and surrounding the first reduction gear unit. The second reduction gear unit has a second internal gear, a second crankshaft with at least one second eccentric body defined thereon, a second input gear fixed to the second crankshaft and a second output member. The first output member is engaged with the second input gear. Further, the first internal gear is disposed, in the axial direction of the gear transmission, between the second input gear and the at least one second eccentric body.

Gear transmission

A first reduction gear unit has a first input shaft that rotates in accordance with the rotation of an output shaft of a motor, a first external gear that revolves orbitally around an axis line of the first input shaft, and a first internal gear that has a number of teeth differing from the number of teeth of the first external gear. A second reduction gear unit comprises a crankshaft that rotates in accordance with the rotation of a first output shaft, a second external gear having a through hole formed at a center itself, a cylindrical member passing through the through hole of the second external gear, a second internal gear that has a number of teeth differing from the number of teeth of the second external gear, and a second output shaft that rotates around an axis line of the second internal gear. The first reduction gear unit is disposed between an outer circumferential surface of the second reduction gear unit and an inner surface of the cylindrical member.
