A circularly polarized wave antenna which allows the matching of resonant frequencies in a higher order mode to be easily achieved. In this circularly polarized wave antenna, a flat portion is provided by flattening a portion of the peripheral side surface of a substrate. Two feeding electrodes for use in the higher order mode excitation are formed on this flat plane. On one main surface of the substrate, a circular radiation electrode is formed, while, on the other main surface of the substrate, a ground electrode is formed.

Circularly polarized wave antenna and manufacturing method therefor

A circularly polarized wave antenna device that has improved the orthogonality of two radiation electric fields in a degeneration-separated mode. A radiation conductor is formed on one main surface of a substrate, and a ground conductor is formed on the other main surface of the substrate opposite to the radiation conductor. A feeding conductor is formed on the side surface of the substrate so as to extend from the other main surface toward the one main surface. The radiation conductor is formed into a square shape or an electrically square shape in a plan view. On the substrate, capacitive loading conductors are provided in the extended directions of the two diagonal lines of the radiation conductor, the capacitive loading conductors being formed between the ground conductor and the radiation conductor, and having mutually different shapes between the one diagonal direction and the other diagonal direction.

Circularly polarized wave antenna device

A circularly polarized wave antenna for transmitting/receiving circularly polarized radio waves by a radiative electrode disposed on a dielectric member, wherein: the dielectric member is substantially cylindrical; the radiative electrode has a substantially circular shape, which is similar to the shape of a top surface of the dielectric member, and is disposed on the top surface of the dielectric member; a spacing between an outer peripheral edge of the top surface of the dielectric member and an edge of the radiative electrode is formed so as to be substantially the same around the entirety of the outer peripheral edge of the dielectric member; the circularly polarized wave antenna excites a higher mode; and a feed electrode, which supplies electrical power to said radiative electrode by capacitive coupling, is disposed on a side of the dielectric member.

Circularly polarized wave antenna and wireless apparatus

The invention provides An antenna device, comprising: a substrate made of an insulation material and including a first major surface and a second major surface face; a ground electrode provided substantially on the whole of the first major surface of said substrate; and an inverted F-shape antenna and a microstrip antenna respectively provided on the surface of the substrate. An open end of a radiation electrode of the microstrip antenna and a feeding electrode of the inverted F-shape antenna are capacitively coupled to each other. A first direction through the open end and ground end of the radiation electrode of the inverted F-shape antenna is substantially perpendicular to a second direction through the open end and ground end of the radiation electrode of the microstrip antenna. By the above arrangement, a mutual interference hardly occurs between the two antennas.

A surface mount circularly polarized wave antenna which includes a substrate made of an insulating material and having a first main face, a second main face, and at least one side face extending between the first main face and second main face; a first ground electrode disposed on the first main face of the substrate; a radiation electrode disposed on the second main face; a feeding electrode having a strip shape and extending from the first main face of the substrate, on the one side face of the substrate, and toward the second main face, one edge of the feeding electrode being positioned near to one side of the radiation electrode; and a second ground electrode disposed on the one side face of the substrate where the feeding electrode is disposed, and electrically conductively isolated from the feeding electrode and electrically conductively connected to the first ground electrode; and a degeneracy separation element provided in relation to the radiation electrode for causing radiation of a circularly polarized wave from the radiation electrode.
