According to the present invention, there are provided a membrane for immunoisolation, including: a porous membrane that contains a polymer, in which the porous membrane includes a layered compact portion where a pore diameter is the smallest within the membrane, and a pore diameter continuously increases in a thickness direction from the compact portion toward at least one surface of the porous membrane; a chamber for transplantation for enclosing a biological constituent therein, including the above-described membrane for immunoisolation on at least a part of a surface forming an inside and an outside of the chamber for transplantation; and a device for transplantation, including the above-described chamber for transplantation enclosing the biological constituent therein. In the membrane for immunoisolation of the present invention which can be manufactured at low costs, a deterioration in substance permeability is unlikely to occur.

According to the present invention, there is provided a membrane for immunoisolation, including a porous membrane that contains a polymer, in which Formulas (I) and (II) are satisfied for at least one surface of the porous membrane, B/A&#x2264;0.7 (I) and A&#x2265;0.015 (II) (in the formula, A represents a ratio of an N element to a C element on a surface of the membrane, and B represents a ratio of the N element to the C element at a depth of 30 nm from the surface of the membrane); a chamber for transplantation for enclosing a biological constituent therein, including the above-described membrane for immunoisolation on at least a part of a surface forming an inside and an outside of the chamber for transplantation; and a device for transplantation includes the above-described chamber for transplantation enclosing the above-described biological constituent therein. The membrane for immunoisolation of the present invention has a high bioaffinity.

The present invention provides an incubator hood having a hydrophilized portion on at least a part of its inner surface, the hydrophilized portion containing a hydrophilic polymer and an antibacterial agent, and a surface of the hydrophilized portion having a water contact angle of up to 30&#xb0;, and also provides an incubator having the incubator hood as well as a hydrophilic sheet and a hydrophilic antibacterial film for use in forming the hydrophilized portion on the incubator hood. Thus the present invention provides an incubator hood, an incubator, a hydrophilic sheet and a hydrophilic antibacterial film that have excellent antifogging properties and antibacterial properties and can suppress the growth of bacteria.

A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed which comprises a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming coupler, at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye-forming coupler, and at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan-dye forming coupler, wherein at least one of said at least one emulsion layers (i) contains silver chloride or silver chlorobromide emulsion grains having a silver chloride content of 95 mol % or more and substantially free of silver iodide, and (ii) has a ratio of point gamma I to point gamma II of 0.7 to 1.3, wherein when points giving densities of 1.0 and 1.5 on a characteristic curve obtained by an exposure time of 10.sup.-4 second are joined by a straight line, point gamma I is a point gamma on the characteristic curve, at a density which is 1.5 or more and which satisfies the condition where the value of logE on the characteristic curve is larger by 0.05 than that on the straight line at the same density, and wherein when points giving densities of 1.0 and 1.5 on a characteristic curve obtained by an exposure time of 0.1 second are joined by a straight line, point gamma II is a point gamma on the characteristic curve, at a density which is 1.5 or more and which satisfies the condition where the value of logE on the characteristic curve is larger by 0.05 than that on the straight line at the same density.

Silver halide color photographic material

There is provided a method for forming an image, which comprises processing a silver halide color photographic material that has a high-silver-chloride silver halide emulsion and which contains in the photographic material a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound, the solubility product of which for the silver salt is in a limited range, with a color developer containing chloride ions and bromide ions in a limited concentration, respectively. The method is excellent in forming an image that can be performed rapidly, and is high in sensitivity, in prevention of processing color-mixing, and in less fluctuation of the photographic quality involved in continuous processing.

A novel silver halide color photographic material comprising on a support at least one light-sensitive emulsion layer and at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a white pigment between said support and said light-sensitive emulsion layer is provided, wherein (i) said white pigment is incorporated in such an amount that the coated amount thereof in said hydrophilic colloidal layer is in the range of 2 g/m.sup.2 or more, at least one of layers constituting said light-sensitive emulsion layer comprises a silver halide emulsion having a silver chloride content of 90 mol % or more and containing at least one of metal complexes of Fe, Ru, Re, Os and Ir in silver halide grains and at least one mercapto heterocyclic compound, (ii) said white pigment is incorporated in such an amount that the density thereof is in the range of 20% by weight or more, at least one of layers constituting said light-sensitive emulsion layer comprises silver bromochloride emulsion grains or silver chloride emulsion grains having a silver chloride content of 90 mol % or more sensitized with a gold compound, and either said light-sensitive layer or said light-insensitive layer comprises at least one of specific compounds represented by the general formulae (I) to (IX) as is defined in claims, or (iii) said white pigment is incorporated in such an amount that the density thereof in said hydrophilic colloidal layer is in the range of 20% by weight or more, at least one of layers constituting said light-sensitive emulsion layer comprises silver bromochloride emulsion grains or silver chloride emulsion grains containing substantially no silver iodide and having a silver chloride content of 95 mol % or more, and the film pH and film pAg of said light-sensitive material are in the range of 5.0 to 6.5 and 6.0 to 10.0, respectively.

A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed comprising a support comprising a base material and a water resistant resin layer containing titanium dioxide particles in an amount of at least 14% by weight of the water resistant resin layer, said support having thereon at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on the same side of the support as the water resistant resin layer, said photographic material having an optical reflection density of at least 0.70 at 680 nm, said photographic material containing at least one compound represented by formula (I) or (II) and at least one compound represented by formula (III), the total layer thickness of the constituent photographic layers provided on the support after immersing in a color developing solution for at least 60 seconds is at least 1.4 times that of the dry thickness before processing, and the total silver coverage of all of the silver halide emulsions contained in the silver halide color photographic material is not more than 0.78 g/m.sup.2 in terms of the coating weight of silver: ##STR1##
