An armature provided with: plural core configuration members that configure an armature core and are segmented from each other on progression along the circumferential direction of the armature core; plural insulators that each include plural insulating portions mounted to the core configuration members and a coupling portion that couples the plural insulating portions together; plural windings that respectively include plural winding portions, wound on the core configuration members with the insulating portions interposed between the winding portions and the core configuration members, and a crossing wire that connects the plural winding portions together; a fitting portion that couples together adjacent core configuration members out of the plural core configuration members; and an exposing portion that is formed to the plural insulators and exposes the fitting portion when viewed along the axial direction of the armature core.

Armature, rotating electrical device, and armature manufacturing method

There is provided an armature including: an armature core that includes plural tooth portions extending in a radial direction and disposed in a row around a circumferential direction; an insulator including plural insulation portions integrated with the armature core; plural windings each including plural wound portions wound on the tooth portions with the insulation portions interposed between the wound portions and the tooth portions, and a crossing wire connecting the plural wound portions together; wherein at a tooth portion, a terminal portion of a wound portion and a terminal portion of a crossing wire are positioned at side portions of the tooth portion on the same side as each other in the circumferential direction; and the insulator is provided with a retaining section that retains the terminal portion of the wound portion and guides the terminal portion of the crossing wire.

Armature and rotating electrical device

In a rotary electric machine, wound wires are connected to a first terminal and a second terminal. Circuit terminals that are configured from a conductive metal other than aluminum, and the first terminal and the second terminal that are configured from a metal with a principal component of aluminum are joined together inside a circuit chamber that has high water resistant properties. Corrosion is accordingly suppressed at join sites of the circuit terminals with the first terminal and the second terminal. There is therefore no need to coat the join sites with for example a sealing material in order to suppress corrosion at the join sites. Good electrical continuity is accordingly enabled between the circuit terminals and the wound wires while suppressing an increase in costs, even when the wound wire is configured from a metal with a principal component of aluminum.

A rotatable rod includes a plurality of cylindrical center rods and a plurality of joints. Each joint connects between corresponding two of the plurality of center rods. Each of opposed ends of each center rod has at least one engaging projection, which projects from the end of the center rod in a direction parallel to an axial direction of the center rod. Each of opposed ends of each joint has at least one engaging recess, each of which is engaged with a corresponding one of the at least one engaging projection that is provided in an adjacent one of the ends of a corresponding one of the plurality of center rods.
