An electronic device includes a shell defining a space and an opening therein. A fixing pole extends into the space from an inner surface of the shell adjacent to the opening. A circuit board is received in the space, and defines a through hole corresponding to the fixing pole. A push button is arranged in the shell, and includes a button body extending into the opening of the shell and being exposed to the outside, a fixing member, and a connecting member interconnecting the fixing member and the button body. The fixing member defines a fixing hole receiving the fixing pole therein. Two opposite sides of the fixing member abut against an inner surface of the shell and the circuit board, respectively. A locking member extends through the through hole and the fixing hole into the fixing pole to assemble the circuit board, the push button to the shell.

A hinge assembly and a portable electronic device are provided. The portable electronic device includes a lid, a main body, and a hinge assembly. The hinge assembly pivotly connects the lid to the main body. The hinge assembly includes a pivot element, a torsion spring, and a hinge brace. The pivot element is formed on the lid and partially and rotatably received in the main body. The torsion spring is assembled between the lid and the main body. When the lid is in a closed position with respect to the main body, the torsion spring becomes constricted and accumulates potential energy. When the lid is opened from the main body, the potential energy of the torsion spring is released to drive the lid to rotate to an open position with respect to the main body. The hinge brace is attached to the main body for blocking an excessive rotation of the lid with respect to the main body.

The switch forms a switch button, a catch and a post for supporting the elastic component. The main body includes a cover and a housing. The cover defines a through hole thereon. The housing mounts at least one support for slideably supporting the switch, a stop plate connecting with the elastic component, and a second notch for accommodating the switch button. The lid mounts a hook on the bottom surface thereof corresponding to the through hole and being capable of hooking the catch when the lid is locked.
