Disclosed aspects relate to automated query modification in a database management system (DBMS). A triggering event related to an execution of a query may be detected by an automated query modification engine. A query modification operation may be determined by the automated query modification engine based on a nature of the triggering event. The query modification operation may be determined to debug the triggering event related to the execution of the query. The query modification operation may be carried-out by the automated query modification engine. The query modification operation may be carried-out to modify the query to debug the triggering event related to the execution of the query.

Query modification in a database management system

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for archiving an active record in a database. An auxiliary table is created in the database. The auxiliary table can store metadata information about active records to be archived and deleted from the database. An active record to be deleted from the database is selected. Metadata information is stored in the auxiliary table for the selected active record. The selected active record is archived into a data storage device. The selected active record is deleted from the database, based on the update information in the auxiliary table, without comparing column data for the archived record in the data storage device and the active record in the database prior to deletion of the active record from the database.

Intelligent data archiving

In a method for preventing information leakage in a workflow environment, a computer system receives a request to access documents in a repository. In one aspect, the computer system identifies articles in the document against the access credentials of the requestor. Further, the computer system extracts protected information from rows and columns in the articles based on label access controls. In another aspect, the computer system generates protected values in the extracted protected information from the rows and generating protected patterns in the extracted protected information from the columns. The computer system redacts the generated protected value and the generated protected patterns based on the access credentials of the requestor.

Prevention of information leakage from a document based on dynamic database label based access control (LBAC) policies

A computer receives an electronic document that includes a group of terms. The computer sends the electronic document to an information extraction program that extracts specific terms from the group of terms. Each of the specific terms that match to a certain extent with one of the attribute values in an electronic dictionary is identified. A value associated with the electronic document is generated based on the specific terms that match, and on an end-user that is attempting to access the electronic document.

Classification of an electronic document

There is disclosed a method for processing a query in a client-server database system comprising a server for managing content in a database and at least one client connected to the server via a network. The method comprises inputting a query from an application; and transmitting the inputted query to the server, skipping a query parsing processing at the client. The server parses the query transmitted from the client computer module and executes the query by manipulating the data in the database according to the query.
