An auger conveyor assembly for use with a seeder and fertilizer applicator, having tanks which are mounted onto a tool bar frame or carrier such as a field cultivator and wherein the seed tanks are generally positioned adjacent to the hitch of the tool bar frame. The auger conveyor is mounted on the tool bar frame on a member which permits moving the auger from a usable position with the receiving end of the auger adjacent the ground to a transport position. The discharge spout of the auger comprises a flexible tube which can be manipulated for filling the tanks. In transport position the hopper end of the auger is raised above the ground and the entire auger is substantially within the perimeter of the tool bar frame.

A seeding device which comprises an attachment that can be placed onto existing tillage implements such as field cultivators and utilizes an air distribution system which permits the transfer of a metered amount of seed into individual air carrying lines, wherein each of said lines deposits seeds immediately behind each shovel or furrow opener on the tillage implement to provide an accurate, and large scale seeding device.

The present invention relates to a support for an earth working tool such as a chisel plow, and more particularly to a spring loaded support which permits pivoting of the earth working tool against a resilient bias force for prevention of overstress, and which includes a mounting member that distributes the stresses on the earth working tool shank itself across a substantial length of the shank to reduce stress concentration areas and lower the maximum stresses by providing a spring backing member along the shank which carries the mounting pivot tube and also carries one end of the spring assembly.

A moldboard plow that is made in two sections which are hinged together about a horizontal pivot axis, so that the rear section of the plow can pivot about this horizontal axis relative to the front section to permit the plow to follow ground contours. Such hinged plows are useful where the present day large plow assemblies are utilized. The hinge assembly also includes structure for reducing the overall width of the plow for road transport. The present hinged plow is supported at four support points controlled by hydraulic cylinders connected and controlled to insure that when the plow is lowered into the ground the shares will enter the ground at a favorable angle for penetration.

A beam for supporting an earth working tool, such as a moldboard plow, which is made so that it will float vertically over obstacles that do not hook the earth working tool, and which also includes linkage that will trip to provide clearance over obstacles which cause a high resistance to floating. The unit utilizes tension springs placed to insure reliable operation, and yet which provide high holding forces for working conditions. Folding links are used to provide full tripping of the mechanism. The folding links are arranged in relation to the provided tension springs to keep spring expansion to a minimum during tripping and yet permit reliable tripping under high forces. The springs provide adequate pressure for resetting after clearing the obstacle.

Floating beam plow

A trip beam linkage for moldboard plow or other earth working tools which trips to clear obstacles such as rocks and the like and uses a sturdy, compact and reliable folding tripping linkage which permits reliable, high clearance tripping using tension springs. The linkage lengths are selected to permit reliance on a high spring force for initial holding, which is more reliable than over center or near center trip linkages. The folding linkage is positioned so spring expansion is kept to a minimum during tripping. The linkage can be adjusted to permit aligning the earth working tool. The working position of the linkage is determined by an adjustable stop.
