Systems and methods for global positioning satellite (GPS)/global navigation satellite system (GNSS) based real time global asset tracking are described. In an embodiment provides a system for real time, fast, global asset tracking, the system includes: a server with a processor, a memory, and a network interface, wherein the memory includes a tracking application, where the tracking application directs the processor to: receive a message including specific data from a tag; determine a time search window based on the message received from the tag; perform an initial position search; perform calculations for position and time, utilizing the time search window, the initial position search and satellite ephemeris information; and display a position information of the tag.

Systems and methods for GPS/GNSS based real time global asset tracking

A data encryption and decryption system securely geoencrypts data using location-dependent navigation signals. To increase the entropy of the cryptographic key to guard against a brute-force attack, geoencryption is made to depend on largely time-independent characteristics of the navigation signals that are not easily spoofed, including the time difference of arrival, the envelope-to-cycle difference, the differential signal-to-noise, the signal envelope shape, and the directions of arrival of the navigation signal set.

Method and apparatus for using navigation signal information for geoencryption to enhance security

In a geo-security system, a device receives RF signals from multiple distinct classes of RF communication systems and extracts location-dependent signal parameters. A current geotag is computed from the parameters by fuzzy extractors involving quantization of the parameters and Reed-Solomon decoding to provide a reproducible unique geotag. The current geotag is compared with a stored geotag, and a geo-secured function of the device is executed based on the result of the comparison. The use of multiple signal sources of different types, combined with special fuzzy extractors provides a robust geotag that allows both lower false rejection rate and lower false acceptance rate.

Geosecurity methods and devices using geotags derived from noisy location data from multiple sources

Secure communication of information is effected from a first party to a second party when the first party knows its own global location and the global location of the second party, and employs what essentially is an undiscoverable code signal that is broadcast to, and received by, both the first and the second parties. The first party securely communicates information to the second party by modifying the code signal with the information that is to be communicated and sends the modified code signal to the second party. Illustratively, the code signal is related to the Y component of a GPS signal.

Secure information transfer based on global position

Location systems and methods are implemented using a variety of arrangements and methods. Using one such system location information is provided in response to a utility-line arrangement propagating signals that represent a wireless radio-frequency (RF) communication originating from one or more remote transmitters. The system includes a receiver circuit communicatively coupled and responsive to the utility-line arrangement. The system also includes a signal-processing logic circuit, communicatively coupled and responsive to the utility-line arrangement. The signal processing logic circuit is arranged to derive location information from characteristics of the signals that are indicative of a location of the receiver circuit relative to the remote transmitters.

A receiver that receives a plurality of signals that are modulated with a common carrier, where each signal of said signals originates at a different source and experiences a transit delay and Doppler frequency shift before reaching the receiver, and where the transit delay and Doppler frequency shift are related to position and movement of each of the respective sources. The receiver includes means, such as a directional antenna, to ensure that the received signals are bona fide, or at least not subject to the same bogus signal or signals to which a second receiver may be subjected.
