Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for trimming video. The program and method provide for providing a capture user interface for capturing a video to generate a media content item; displaying a preview user interface for previewing and editing the captured video to generate the media content item, the preview user interface including an interface element for selecting to trim the captured video or to set a playback option for the media content item; receiving, via the interface element, user input selecting to trim the captured video; and displaying a preview bar within the preview user interface, the preview bar including a set of frames of the captured video and front and back handles respectively positioned in front and in back of the set of frames, each of the front and back handles being selectable to trim video.

Trimming video within a messaging system

Systems, methods, and instructions on non-transitory computer readable media for automatically sending images to designated recipients based on context selection criteria (e.g., one or more of location, content, or quality). The system includes a camera and a user interface to trigger the camera to capture an image. The method includes identifying context selection criteria, identifying designated recipients, receiving the image captured by the camera, determining image data for the captured image, comparing the determined image data to the identified context selection criteria to identify a match, and sending the captured image to the set of designated recipients responsive to the identified match.

In some instances, it may be determined, by a wearable device, whether a user has responded to a first user interface prompt displayed in response to detection of a physical event associated with the user. For example, a countdown timer may begin to run for a second timer period. During the second period, an audio alert and a haptic alert may be output by the wearable device. In accordance with a determination that the user has not responded to a second user interface prompt prior to expiration of the second time period, a communication channel request may be transmitted to an emergency response service by the wearable device.

In some instances, it may be determined, by a wearable device, whether a user has responded to a user interface prompt displayed in response to detection of a physical event associated with the user. Additionally, the wearable device may transmit a communication channel request to an emergency response service in accordance with a determination that the user has not responded to the user interface prompt after expiration of a time period. Further, the wearable device may transmit an audio message to the emergency response service at least in response to the emergency response service accepting the communication channel request.
