A multi-wavelength laser is provided, including a reference wavelength-tunable laser, N−1 secondary wavelength-tunable lasers, N beam splitters, a phase modulator, and N−1 frequency difference detection apparatuses. The reference wavelength-tunable laser is connected to one beam splitter which includes two output ports, and one of the output ports is connected to the phase modulator. The phase modulator is separately connected to the N−1 frequency difference detection apparatuses. The N−1 secondary wavelength-tunable lasers one-to-one correspond to remaining N−1 beam splitters and the N−1 frequency difference detection apparatuses. The secondary wavelength-tunable laser is connected to a corresponding beam splitter, the corresponding beam splitter includes two output ports, and one of the output ports is connected to a corresponding frequency difference detection apparatus. N is a positive integer not less than 2. A multi-wavelength optical signal generated by the phase modulator has a precise frequency spacing.

Multi-wavelength laser

An optical receiver is disclosed, including an optoelectronic detector, a transimpedance amplification (TIA) circuit, a single-ended-to-differential converter, an I/O interface, and a controller. The optoelectronic detector, having bandwidth lower than required system transmission bandwidth, converts an optical signal into a current signal. The TIA circuit compensate gain for the received current signal based on a received control signal, to obtain a voltage signal, where a frequency response value of the current signal within first bandwidth is greater than that within the bandwidth of the optoelectronic detector, and any frequency in the first bandwidth is not lower than an upper cut-off frequency of the optoelectronic detector. The single-ended-to-differential converter converts the voltage signal into a differential voltage signal. The I/O interface outputs the differential voltage signal. The controller generates the control signal based on the differential voltage signal. The optical receiver disclosed can reduce costs while ensuring signal quality.

Optical receiver

A reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer includes N input ports, N output ports, M add ports and M drop ports. Each of the N input ports and each of the M add ports is respectively connected to one first polarizer. Each of the N output ports and each of the M drop ports is respectively connected to one second polarizer. A first end of the first polarizer is connected to a second end of the first polarizer, forming a loop including the first polarizer. A first end of the second polarizer is connected to a second end of the second polarizer, forming a loop including the second polarizer. An annular waveguide array is between a loop Land a loop L. A first polarizer included in the loop Lis connected to an iinput port. A second polarizer included in the loop Lis connected to a joutput port.

Reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer

The present disclosure relates to optical receivers. One example optical receiver includes an optoelectronic detector, a transimpedance amplification (TIA) circuit, a single-ended-to-differential converter, an I/O interface, and a controller. The optoelectronic detector, having bandwidth lower than required system transmission bandwidth, converts an optical signal into a current signal. The TIA circuit compensates gain for the received current signal based on a received control signal to obtain a voltage signal, where a frequency response value of the current signal within first bandwidth is greater than that within the bandwidth of the optoelectronic detector, and any frequency in the first bandwidth is not lower than an upper cut-off frequency of the optoelectronic detector. The single-ended-to-differential converter converts the voltage signal into a differential voltage signal. The I/O interface outputs the differential voltage signal. The controller generates the control signal based on the differential voltage signal.

Examples of a polarization independent optical device are described. One example polarization independent optical device includes an input/output preprocessing optical path and M add/drop optical paths. Any add/drop optical path can be configured to drop a first Qand a first Pthat meet a resonance condition of a microring included in the add/drop optical path such that each add/drop optical path can be configured to drop a desired optical signal. Any add/drop optical path can also be configured to transmit an input optical signal to the input/output preprocessing optical path. Therefore, when any of the M add/drop optical paths is configured to drop a desired optical signal, another add/drop optical path can be configured to add a desired optical signal.

Polarization independent optical device

An electro-optic modulator includes an input waveguide, a beam splitter connected to the input waveguide, a modulation arm that is disposed on each branch of the beam splitter and modulates a signal. Each modulation arm is correspondingly disposed with a first layer electrode and a second layer electrode. The first layer electrode is a high-frequency traveling wave electrode and is configured to change carrier concentration in the modulation arm, the second layer electrode is a direct current electrode having an inductor function, and an inductor formed in the second layer electrode is connected to the first layer electrode. The electro-optic modulator has functions of a bias tee, so that integration of the electro-optic modulator can be improved without affecting its performance. High-density packaging layout difficulty and cabling pressure can be effectively reduced, and cabling and packaging of a multi-channel high-speed signal on a base board can be implemented.

Electro-optic modulator

The present disclosure relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses a channel training method, apparatus, and system, so as to resolve a problem in which a newly added ONU in a PON cannot be registered and go online in time. In embodiments of the present disclosure, a first moment for triggering channel training is determined; normal data is stopped sending from the first moment and a training frame is generated; and then the training frame is sent to all ONUs in a PON, so that a target ONU trains an automatic adaptive equalizer based on the training frame, where the target ONU is at least one of all the ONUs in the PON. The solutions provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure are applicable to the equalizer training the ONU.

Channel training method, apparatus, and system

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a passive optical network communications method and apparatus, and a system. The method includes: determining a wavelength channel group of an optical network unit (ONU) and a wavelength channel in the wavelength channel group; and sending a first message to the ONU, where the first message carries identification information of the wavelength channel group and identification information of the wavelength channel in the wavelength channel group. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, such a logical channel group as a wavelength channel group is established, and when a channel in a channel group is faulty, a scheduling module of an OLT can rapidly and easily reallocate a service to another member in the channel group, so that channel interaction is avoided. Therefore, bandwidth scheduling efficiency and bandwidth utilization of a PON system are higher.

Passive optical network communications method and apparatus, and system

Embodiments of the present invention disclose an optical transmitter and an optical transmission method. An embodiment of the present invention includes a directly modulated laser array and a micro-ring group array, where the directly modulated laser array may output multiple channels of optical signals, each directly modulated laser is correspondingly provided with one circular waveguide group and one first waveguide, each circular waveguide group may couple a part of optical signals output by a directly modulated laser corresponding to the circular waveguide group to a same second waveguide, and the second waveguide aggregates optical signals from circular waveguide groups and outputs an aggregated optical signals. The micro-ring group array implements not only filtering but also multiplexing, which effectively reduces a quantity of elements, reduces a size of an optical transmitter, and reduces costs.

Optical transmitter and optical transmission method

Embodiments of the present invention provide a decision feedback equalizer, which includes: a receive end, configured to receive a first differential signal, and input the first differential signal to the superimposer; a superimposer, configured to superimpose the first differential signal on a square-wave signal output by a adjusting unit to obtain a second differential signal; the adjusting unit, configured to perform phase and/or amplitude adjustment for a second square-wave signal; the first decision device is configured to compare a voltage amplitude of the second differential signal with a set value, and output a first square-wave signal; the second decision device is configured to compare the voltage amplitude of the second differential signal with a voltage amplitude of a signal adjusted by the adjusting unit, and input an obtained second square-wave signal to the adjusting unit. The embodiments of the present invention can reduce data edge jitter.
